Hidden Gem in Darlington
Our wedding day went without a hitch. The venue went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and comfortable all day. No request was too much throughout the day and during the run up. The secret garden is a beautiful addition for a sunny outdoor wedding but even the options inside the hotel were newly refurbished and great options should the weather turn. We selected the hotel as the value for money was exceptional at a package level and we found no other hotel locally offered the package level Hall Garth do. The rooms for guests require a refurb but this is very much in their pipeline and being worked on. We used the library to get ready which was a great space, plenty of room and right near the restaurant for something to eat. The team at hall Garth are fantastic, if I could do it again… I’d change nothing! -

We had a fantastic day everything was perfect from start to finish , the staff went above and beyond with everything , it was fantastic value for money , we had guests saying “you must of sent thousands “when in fact we didn’t !! nothing was a problem regarding the ideas we had for our special day all the staff were friendly and been the bride they took all the stress away and made me feel confident to relax and enjoy every minute of my day (and I’m a control freak ) but felt happy leaving my day in there hands and I was right to do so because there the experts and they show did what they do best -

We booked our venue with Hall Garth 2 years before our wedding. Over the past 2 years to the date we couldn’t have been more happy with Kellie and the team for everything they done to make our day one to always remember. When asking any questions whether is was about the package, the drinks, food or accommodation the communication was always responded fairly quickly. From a budget perspective we were overall very happy. If anything we were under budget which was even better. The package we paid for was worth the money, everything we got included was amazing. Overall the venue was decorated with help from vendors exactly the way we planned. The company wedding breakfast was 10/10 the drinks were to everyone’s taste. The views of the hotel that being inside and the outdoor grounds was simply gorgeous. We would 1000% recommend couples to book their weddings with Hall Garth.

From booking the Hallgarth to the wedding day and afterwards, the events manager Emily and wedding co-ordinator Vicky and their team including the receptionist Mandy were very professional and helpful throughout the weekend. They all went above and beyond to ensure our special day went without a hitch (apart from us). It was the perfect venue for our wedding they had it all from the incredible food and the grounds which were perfect for our guests and photographs. -

Perfect wedding!
The entire experience was perfect! The day flowed so well and we felt like we still had control over our day but had all the support we needed. The only thing I would say is the DJ caused some of our guests to leave as they didn’t know any of the songs and our guests also said their requests they requested the DJ didn’t have. Also the communication at the start seemed clear from what we were saying but not being understood at Hall Garth’s side by the first girl we were being served by and then was made to feel like “I didn’t know what I wanted” when I did and I made it obvious. The two ladies that helped us in the end were clear and understood everything we stated. Guests complained the carrot on the meal was too tough but besides that they said the day was perfect! So thank you again Hall Garth - I would definitely recommend but I wouldn’t recommend your DJ…(as an example we asked for Last Resort - Papa Roach, he didn’t have that song so he played Broken Home - Papa Roach which is not a song we want at a wedding and definitely not a song we didn’t know, we would of rather just not had the song at all, how did he not have the most popular song but had a song no one knew?). Plates were a little dirty on the morning breakfast and I think the honeymoon suite could do with a little TLC. But the lady who managed our wedding on the day of and day after, we couldn’t of asked anymore of her. She was amazing!! -

We had a fantastic wedding at Hall Garth hotel .
From start to finish, the staff and Emily kept both me ( the groom) and my bride informed with everything that was happening and going to happen , they helped us with every need and couldn't do enough for us. I'm happy we choose Hallgarth . -

Great service, well mannered staff, when something went wrong they quickly rectified the situation and resolved it quickly and professionally. The day went really smoothly. One that we won't forget. The room was set up lovely how we wanted it. Table decor was perfect. I would recommend hallgarth hotel for anyone's wedding. Was a great atmosphere and a really amazing day. -
