We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding. Fennes is absolutely BEAUTIFUL — from the moment we arrived, we knew it was exactly what we had dreamed of for our special day. Every part of the venue was stunning, and it provided the most beautiful backdrop for our wedding.
A huge thank you especially to Sophie, who was our wedding planner and was absolutely incredible from start to finish. She kept everything running so smoothly on the day and made sure everything happened when it was supposed to, meaning we could completely relax and enjoy our wedding without having to worry about what was happening behind the scenes.
Even when little problems arose, Sophie was there to sort them out quickly and calmly without us even having to worry about them. She was so organised, attentive and genuinely lovely, and we really felt that our day was in the safest hands.
The whole team at Fennes were amazing and made us feel so well looked after throughout the entire process. They were professional, helpful and went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was everything we had hoped for.
We truly couldn’t recommend Fennes enough. It was the most beautiful setting for our wedding, and having such an incredible team behind us made the whole experience even more special. We had the most amazing day and will always be so grateful to everyone at Fennes, especially Sophie, for helping make it so perfect. 🤍 -

My wife and I, had a lovely wedding at Fennes, Sophie was our events planner and she was amazing. From start to finish, she made sure that we were taking care of, looked after and made our guest feel welcomed and part of the ceremony.
The food was amazing, the horse box selling drinks, the back drop of the house and the bridge over the lake made our wedding pictures even more special.
We stayed overnight at the honeymoon cottage, which was a lovely experience with the added touches of bathrobes and breakfast in the morning.
We had such a wonderful stay and highly recommend Sophie as your events planner. -

We got married at The Fennes and it was the most perfect day.
From pre-wedding communications, to set-up and service from the staff on the day, to the food (would recommend the Hog Roast for the evening meal option), to everything else, it really was the most magical place.
If I could go back and re-live the day again I would and I wouldn’t change a thing.

Our wedding 30/3/26
Our day at Fennes was absolutely fantastic. The service from start to finish was superb, the whole day was seamless. The staff went above and beyond for our day. Our wedding planner Sophie was incredibly helpful, especially with my 1000 questions and tweaks I made. She was patient and understanding. I will recommend this venue to every one that is looking in the Essex area. -

What a place to get married! We tied to knot at Fiennes on 30th March 2025. The attention to detail, preparation, and overall service was absolutely amazing!
We initially went for a viewing and fell in love with it, so booked our venue with only 6 months to go! We were allocated Vicky as our wedding coordinator and she was a treasure to have by our sides! The meeting to the lead up to ensure the day went smoothly, the food tasting experience, unlimited visits to the venue (within reason) - we even had our pre-wedding photoshoot at the venue so our photographer could get used the to venue!
On the day, there was a slight hiccup with a lack of water in the accommodations, however we got a percentage of the room cost refunded back to us.
Vicky was there on the day, ensuring our day ran smoothly, alongside many other incredible Fences staff! The lady behind the bar was also brilliant!
We haven't heard a bad word from our day, just how beautiful the wedding was and the grounds were!

Fennes, Braintree was the one and only venue we ever looked at. Before viewing if for the first time we were determined to be 'open minded' but the entrance alone took our breath away and safe to say, we paid the deposit in the car on the way home! Every single member of staff we dealt with along the way were faultness, from accounts to the wedding coordinators themselves. We had Sophie Richell as our Wedding Coordinator and it was so easy to find comfort and trust in her with our big day. No query was ever too big or too small and rest assure- You would be in fantastic hands!
The grounds and the house were the perfect background for our photos and full of character, the food was absolutely fabulous - Smoked Salmon starter and Beef fillet were insanely delightful (we went with a mix across the menus).
The long and the short of it, if I could do it all again at Fennes, I'd be back there tomorrow. -
