The best experience we could have hoped for!
Where to begin?! Getting married at Ellingham Hall was the best experience of our lives! From viewing the venue for the first time to receiving a follow-up call a few days afterwards, at every step of the way, we were made to feel like the venue existed just for us! The quality of the service given to us by every member of staff we encountered was second to none. We made people aware that we had booked an award winning venue and once you have been through the whole process and got married, you can clearly see why!
Our wedding co-ordinator Beth felt more like a friend than someone who was doing her job and she was seriously top quality by calming any nerves, planning all the little touches, delivering drinks and breakfasts, even steaming dresses for us! The multiple phone-calls and correspondence throughout the build-up was fantastic! Debbie checking in on us before check-out was a lovely touch and the pride that the team have in the venue they run is evident for all to see. Operations Manager Hanna and the member of the team who was assisting with check-in, taking photos and serving the wedding breakfast also left a big impression!
From the groundsman and night porter to the kitchen, bar and floor staff and everyone else behind the scenes, every one of the team’s presence was felt even though they were in the background, quietly ensuring the event went as planned.
If any couples read this during their wedding search please do yourself a favour and at the very least, check Ellingham Hall out if not choose them!, we’re still on a high a week later! All of our guests were blown away by the venue and were full of compliments.
Our hearts left even fuller than they did when we arrived, our bearded dragon and golden retriever were able to play their starring roles and nothing we requested was unachievable.
Thank you Ellingham Hall, it was the best wedding we’ve ever been to! 😉❤️

Our dream day
From the day we first visited Ellingham we were blown away, not only by the amazing grounds, the immaculate accommodation but every single staff member was so polite and kind. It really does feel like you are walking around a home not a “venue”. Not at any point did we feel like a number or just another couple.
During the whole planning process Wendy was amazing, ensuring questions were always answered and updating things as we went along. Our online meetings were always a pleasure and we never felt rushed or left out of the know. The menu tasting was also - AMAZING - 9 full size courses with wine and cocktails was just a dream come true.
Fast forward to the big day (or three ) - was truly the best days of our lives. We couldn’t have been more looked after. We trusted every member of staff with absolutely anything because they were all fabulous. Since leaving all of guests have commented not only how brilliant the food and drink was, but that they were served with a lovely familiar smile. The exclusive use of Ellingham made us both so relaxed and having the night prior to mingle with our guests also really helped. Our guests also loved the use of the den in the basement.
I think after your wedding it’s very easy to start nit picking yourself saying ‘I wish we did this’, ‘I wish we’d done that instead’ but we have not one ounce of regret about getting married at Ellingham and would absolutely choose / recommend the venue and the team, time and time again.
I could continue forever about how amazing the entire wedding was - ultimately THANK YOU to absolutely everyone ❤️❤️❤️ -

We had our wedding at Ellingham Hall a year ago, and we’re still getting compliments from our guests—it was truly magnificent! Although we live in Los Angeles, we chose to get married in the North of England where my husband is from, and Ellingham Hall exceeded every expectation.
Planning a destination wedding from across the world could have been stressful, but the award-winning team at Ellingham handled everything with grace and precision. Their recommended vendors were top-notch, and they really helped bring our vision to life—even down to incorporating Don Julio tequila for our wedding toast!
As a vegan, I was especially impressed by the food—they offered plenty of delicious plant-based options, and our guests raved about every bite. Being able to host our guests on-site was a huge bonus, especially for the American friends and family who weren’t keen on driving on the opposite side of the road. The two-day celebration was perfect for everyone who had traveled such a long way—it gave us time to soak in every moment with our loved ones.
The Hall itself is absolutely stunning. The grounds are magical, the rooms and cottages strike the perfect balance between classic English countryside charm and modern, stylish comfort—and let’s not forget the beautiful peacocks roaming around!
Ellingham Hall gave us the wedding of our dreams, and we can't recommend it highly enough. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. From the bottom of our hearts. -

Our wedding at Ellingham Hall was absolutely phenomenal. Everything ran like clockwork, the venue was gorgeous, the rooms comfortable and the food and drink flowing. I highly recommend this venue, especially their last minute availability pricing. It was a magical day that we and our guests will remember for the rest of our lives. -

What a beautiful venue! Me and my partner just got married at Ellingham last week week and we could not have chosen a better venue. From booking the venue, to our special day everything was just amazing. Staff have been so great with us and were always there to answer any questions we had leading up to our day. The food we chose was amazing- and there was so many amazing choices to choose from for the menu tasting!
Our special day ran smoothly thanks to all the staff here and all the staff were just so nice from start to finish. All our guests commented on how amazing the venue was and how amazing the staff had been with everyone.
We cannot thank everyone there enough for helping to make our day so special! -

Stunning venue, fantastic food and impeccable service
From the first time we visited Ellingham Hall we fell in love with the elegant rooms, the stunning decor and the beautiful grounds. We loved coming back to see the hall to start visualising our winter wedding. But I was unprepared to see how beautiful the hall looked when decorated for Christmas!
The rooms were amazing and perfect for us. It allowed us to have our family and wedding party all under one roof which is exactly what we wanted. We loved the 2-night experience. The night before allowed us time to relax and spend time with our loved ones before our big day. Everyone enjoyed the Den and all its games, I don't think anyone had the early night we had planned.
The food was … INCREDIBLE! We had so many complements from our guests about the throughout the day. All dietary requirements were catered for (sorry for the long list Wendy!). The wedding breakfast service was impeccable and we can’t thank you enough for keeping a meal back for my brother in law and my nephew. All the serving staff were fantastic - I am glad I went for the served wine rather than bottles on the tables.
The cocktail tower to welcome our evening guests seemed to be never ending and the cocktails were gorgeous. The chapel looked fabulous for our evening entertainment and people were dancing all night long.
We cannot fault anything during our wedding weekend. You brought our dreams to life and we had the best weekend of our lives! I thought I would be stressed the night before the wedding, but I was able to hand everything over to the capable hands of the team at Ellingham. Everything just happened, I didn’t even need to think about worrying about my spreadsheet plans.
We are so glad that we were able to have some of our photos in the grounds, despite the gale force winds! It was an incredible day at an incredible venue making for a perfect wedding!
Thank you - I don’t think words can fully say how grateful we are for everything everyone at Ellingham did for us during the lead up to our wedding and during the day. Special thank you to David, Charlie and Wendy who dealt with all my bridal moments!

The Hutchinson Wedding
I just wanted to say the biggest thank you to the incredible Ellingham Hall team, our wedding day was simply spectacular and the team at Ellingham are just so incredibly special.
From the moment we entered Ellingham Hall for our first viewing, it instantly felt like home and we knew that this was the only place to host our very special wedding. We were greeted by the most wonderful smiling faces and felt incredibly relaxed from the start. We sat down and discussed our visions and dreams for our big day and the team were genuinely so interested and excited about our big day. For the many weddings that Ellingham host yearly, we were made to feel like ours was the only one, we felt so special and listened too.
The planning process was so smooth, and all questions were always answered so timely and nothing was ever a problem. Wendy was absolutely exceptional, always at the other end of the phone or an email for any clarifications and always made us feel in safe hands. She is a true credit to the Ellingham Team.
The wedding, WOW, what can I say. From the moment we arrived the evening before the wedding we were made to feel so special and welcome. We sat down with a glass of fizz and had our final details meeting; it went so smoothly and I felt so relaxed during the meeting which for the day before your wedding day is pretty impressive I would say! I had the upmost trust in the Ellingham team to create the most incredible wedding day and they certainly did not disappoint. The day was so organised and ran so smoothly, they worked so so hard to give us the perfect day!
Debbie, David, and Alicia were so attentive throughout the day, they visited the bridal suite in the morning to check I was ok and to reassure me that everything was running to plan. They had such positive energy and genuinely were excited for the big day ahead!
Throughout the wedding day they ensured everything ran smooth, they regularly checked on myself and my husband and created opportunities for us to have some private moments together just the two of us which was incredibly special and so important to us. The food was incredible, the service was exceptional and there really are not enough words to describe how amazing our day was thanks to this incredible venue and the team.
So many of our guests have commented and said it was the best wedding they have ever been too. It was simply magical!
The most heartfelt and sincere thank you to everyone at Ellingham Hall, the most special place. -
