Fabulous wedding, even in a November storm!
We couldn't have hoped for a better venue to host our wedding. The whole process from start to finish has been a joy. When we first toured the venue, we knew we were having a smaller wedding of circa 50 people and thought this would mean the beautiful Amara Ballroom would be off limits to us. This was not the case at all. We were welcomed to use this space and just couldn't picture getting married anywhere else. Natasha and Jules were our first points of contact and were so helpful. Jules made clear the packages that were available and what needed to be decided when. Any questions we had were answered quickly and with complete honesty.
Our meal tasting was also fantastic where we were hosted by Suzanne. She was wonderful and had just the energy to settle any nerves. The food was great and the biggest trouble was picking between the things we tried - we could have had it all!
The wedding day itself - I cannot fault one thing. Every single member of staff assigned to our wedding offered so much care and attention - they were all wonderful. We look back on the day with so much joy. Not even Storm Bert could dampen our spirits. Suzanne and Raj made sure that everything ran seamlessly and a huge thank you to both of them, as well as the bar staff and waiters that looked after our tables, and Milena on reception.
I want to give a special shout out to Lauren who has been looking after us since just before the one month meeting. Her dedication to making sure that everything went smoothly was unbelievable. I cannot get over the lengths Lauren went to - getting drenched finding and driving a golf buggy - to make sure that I made it from my apartment suite to the ballroom as dry as possible in my wedding dress. The selflessness was unreal and I am utterly grateful for the heart and soul that went into making the day run smoothly. There is nowhere we would rather have decided to get married. Thank you Cotswold Hotel and Spa, you are truly amazing and I would not hesitate recommending you to other couples wanting to get married.We couldn't have hoped for a better venue to host our wedding. Amazing wedding day
When we visited the venue we fell in love straight away, the team answered all our queries and worries making it very simple to book there and then. Throughout the year of planning with Cotswolds Hotel & Spa they were very helpful and answered any questions we had, Lauren was amazing with everything and tried to answer asap despite the amount of emails we sent over the days. We would not say there was a specific moment of the day that was the best but we definitely enjoyed having a moment to ourselves during the gold buggy ride.
If we could improve anything it would be that the day had been longer as it went super fast.When we visited the venue we fell in love straight away, the team answered all our queries and worries making it very simple to book there and then. Our Wedding Day March 2025
In the build up to the day:
How did you find the planning process?
The wedding planning process was relatively smooth and mostly Enjoyable.
Did anyone in particular make the process easier or more enjoyable for you?
It was Lovely working with our Event coordinator Lauren.
Was there anything that we could improve on?
I think the communication could have been better in terms of response time to emails which sometimes took too much time. On the wedding day, we would have preferred to work more closely with our event coordinator as she knew the program in detail. The ballroom recently got extended and I thought that meant we could have more space for our guests during the wedding day however this wasn’t the case and it was a bit squashed so would’ve preferred To have used the extra space for people to sit more comfortably as we had nearly 250 guests.
On the day itself:
What was the best part of your day?
The speeches, the food, and General atmosphere of the day were most enjoyable. The rooms were also very spacious making them more comfortable to be in.

What made you book our venue?
The ballroom is truly beautiful and stole our breath away when we first saw it which helped us make Cotswolds our wedding venue.
What was your favourite part about the venue?
The ballroom.
Could you suggest an area we could improve on?
Outside Where we took our wedding photos there were a few dirt patches on our wedding day, which normally has grass on, this was a bit of an eye sore on the day.In the build up to the day:

We wanted a beautiful, affordable venue where we felt heard and respected, and Cotswolds Hotel & Spa was exactly that!
The planning process was perfect. Every step was seamless, and all our questions were answered promptly and thoroughly. We felt fully supported throughout, which made the experience completely stress-free and enjoyable.
Our contact person, Lauren, was absolutely amazing. Every time we spoke with her, we became even more excited and reassured about the wedding. Although we were quite anxious at times, Lauren had a natural ability to calm our nerves and make us feel relaxed. Her remarkable, customer-centered approach was exactly what we needed and made the entire experience even more special.
The person we first spoke to over the phone when inquiring about the venue was also wonderful. I believe it was Lauren, although I am not entirely sure. Since we are very people-oriented, she encouraged us to visit the venue, and we instantly fell in love with it. Without that initial phone call, we might not have visited, even though the venue itself is fantastic.
We wanted to get married somewhere beautiful and affordable, but more importantly, at a place where we felt heard and respected. Cotswolds Hotel and Spa was exactly that. Everyone needs a Lauren in their corner on their big day.

What was the best part of your day? Not sure there was just one part, but it went so well just how we had hoped.

Amazing from start to finish!!!
Planning process was very smooth sailing! We booked our wedding around 18 months in advance and from that day onwards we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable with the team around us! We had always heard how weddings are stressful to plan and organise, but with Cotswolds hotel and spa it was made as easy as possible for us!
Lauren was excellent through the entire process! She was always there at the end of the phone, no matter how many times I called her to ask even just a small question, she was always so happy to help and we are so grateful to her for and all she has done for us !
There is honestly nothing that they could improve on, they made the planning process and the actual day so stress free it was wonderful!
On the day itself:
The best part of our day was having everything go so seamlessly! We were worried as it rained on the actual day, but the team made everything so easy and did an amazing job at organising an alternative for the day instead of going outside! They made special effort for us to be able to go on the golf buggy’s for photos as this was an important part for us and they made it possible with no drama !
Suzanne was incredible on the day and kept our rowdy family in check whilst still being respectful! She was so organised and thorough that I really did not have to worry about anything!
The day was honestly so perfect despite the weather and I cannot fault them at all!
The venue:
We had attended a wedding a year or two prior and had said we should look, so around a week after we got engaged, we had a look and instantly fell in love with the place! We knew it was our wedding venue!
We love the fairy lights and chandeliers in the Amara ballroom, they gave a really lovely look! We also really loved that we could go on the golf buggy’s and that there was a bar which is just for the wedding guests! This made it feel very personal and wholesome!
Everyone on the day and the lead up, from the events team, to the bar staff, to the MC, everyone was so lovely and were happy for us to take creative control when we wanted to and did not make us feel judged or like anything was silly or too much to ask! We are so grateful and cannot thank everyone enough for the amazing effort that went into making our day so special!

Our perfect wedding day - 29/8/24
We got married here end of August 2024, firstly the venue is absolutely beautiful, amazing views and grounds. The ballroom is lovely, beautiful fairy lights and well spacious. We stayed in a studio room with a golf view, on arrival it was spotless and all made up ready for us with the sofa bed as requested. Lovely big room with soft clean towels all ready for us.
Our wedding planning was easy, we had so much help and was like planning more with a friend - Jules was helpful and friendly. She gave us ideas and answered all our questions. Emails were answered quickly and all our appointments were flexible. Everything went as planned. We also had help from Lauren who was also amazing!
Our actual wedding day went perfect. All our guests had an amazing time and the day flowed. Our food was complimented on by everyone. It was served quickly and tasted amazing. The presentation was also great!
We would like to thank Suzanne and Myles on the big day! They were both pleasant to have helping with our day and so so lovely. Also a big thanks to Jules for it all running as planned - we couldn’t have done it without you all! Thankyou so so much.
No faults at all with the place and we would recommend to anyone! Especially someone who didn’t have a clue what they were doing with planning a wedding - (us!)

Perfect wedding day!
I picked this venue as everything was included and oh my god did that take so much stress off!! I felt like I didn’t really need to do much!! Everything was seamless and they knew what they were doing!! Food was amazing, everyone commented on it!!
I spilled some food down my dress and I got upset as I hadn’t done my couple photos yet, however Jeta (apologies if spelt wrong) got STRAIGHT on it, she went and got a vanish bar and literally got the whole mark out! She kept me calm too and was assuring me she’d get the mark out which she did!! Disaster avoided :) thank you so much!
Dj was from the venue too (we had Ian) he was brilliant!! Mixed our first dance song perfectly! And played what we wanted, my guests commented on how great he was and played loads of request!
So chilled and seamless! Also grounds were beautiful for our couple photos, just had to wait for golfers to move at times!

Even though we knew there were other weddings around the same time as ours, it felt like we were the only ones because of how well we were looked after.
