Just want to start by saying a massive thank you to Cooling Castle Barn and all of the staff (especially Becky) for a perfect wedding, we had an amazing time. From the beginning they were just on it, with every little question I had, which when you're stressing about getting married is exactly what you need! They were super responsive and really made us feel like they had everything under control, they covered every base and made sure the day ran smoothly and was personalized to exactly what we wanted.
The barns themselves are really beautiful, and we were lucky enough to have the Christmas decorations up, which were really tasteful and not too over the top (which is something we were concerned about). The whole day ran so smoothly, they took great care to ensure we were both happy, in the right place at the right time but yet didn’t bother us too much and let us enjoy the moment. We both really felt like they had everything under control, to the point where we could just relax and trust the process. The food was lovely, both the sit down meal and the buffet, and the main barn looked amazing with all the decorations. We had a band playing and then the DJ, and the music was brilliant, perfectly loud enough and sounded great. The rooms were lovely too, and I heard no complaints for any of our guests staying overnight.
It’s difficult to sum up a whole day into one review, but essentially just book here, they are amazing and you really don’t have to worry about anything, thank you Cooling Castle Barns! -

Literally cannot fault ANYTHING. The venue is stunning, the staff are amazing, and every minor detail is covered. You're looked after by duty managers throughout the day; they set up and set down all your decorations; they coordinate with your suppliers; you have getting ready rooms included; the packages include literally anything and everything you could need; they feed you lots of snacks and booze throughout the day to calm the nerves; you're treated like a VIP... I could go on! Give them a visit, chat to the staff, you won't regret it! Most stunning venue and we had the wedding of our dreams ✨✨✨ -

Firstly, the castle, barns and gardens are beautiful. We were so happy with how everything looked.
But my god, the food, music and staff communication were awful, as was the response from management when raising our concerns.
The food was overcooked at tasteless. The halloumi was black and the chocolate tarte couldn't be cut with a knife and fork as the base was rock hard.
The music quality was awful. Very quiet (which we were told there was a noise limiter) but when people were singing- not even very loudly may I add, you couldn't hear the music. Which was probably just as well because it sounded like we were in a tin can. Even guests mentioned it to us which was super embarrassing. My sister raised this with the evening venue coordinator who said "there's an ongoing issue with it and management are aware". Would have been nice to be told that before booking...
There were communication issue throughout. We had:
- Lactose-free cupcakes that didn't go out
- Cupcake boxes so guests could take cake home that didn't go out
- Issues with our bar tab so some people paid for drinks when the tab was still open
- I wasn't on the dance floor for the start of tje father-daughter dance as they started the music during my cake cutting
I was also asked questions throughout the whole evening so was hard to relax, and whilst all my guests were queuing to my goodbye to me, I got asked to go and get my card to put it behind the bar to pay off the bar tab therefore there were guests I didn't get to say goodbye to.
On contacting management they pretty much denied what I had raised, took no responsibility and basically said sorry you were disappointed but oh well.
If the food and the party are important aspects to you, then don't choose this venue.

Cooling Castle Barn really was our perfect wedding venue. We fell in love instantly and it was the only venue we looked at for our wedding and booked immediately before we even left! The price of the venue and what is included is incredible, it was worth every single penny and we’d highly recommend. Every single staff member we came into contact with couldn’t have helped enough! Out toastmaster (Steve) was absolutely amazing and co-ordinator on the day (Chelsea) was so so helpful with everything that we needed and made sure that everything was sorted and we didn’t have to think of a thing on the day! The getting ready rooms were perfect and the food was absolutely incredible!! We had so many comments about the food and the venue in general from our guests, everyone absolutely loved it!! Thank you so much, we had the most amazing wedding at the most perfect venue x -

Outstanding
From start to finish, the staff were so friendly and professional! Everything was broken down and made so simple, the app was incredible to help keep track of planning. On the day Becky was honestly everything we could have asked for, she kept us updated on everything that was happening whilst we were getting ready and made everything run so smoothly. Would recommend this venue to anyone, we had so many compliments on our choice and had everything we needed under one roof! Topped off by returning to our room with champagne, cake and chocolates. Everyone was so wonderful and helpful from start to finish. We were guided through everything in a wonderful, stress free way and were able to enjoy our day from start to finish in absolutely beautiful surroundings. Thank you so much! -

I cannot recommend the venue highly enough - all of the staff are amazing, and the day just runs like clockwork! Communication up until the day is easy and so helpful! We had the best day ever.
