I cannot express enough how outstanding Chiddingstone Castle was as a wedding venue. We were initially attracted to the venue due to the beauty of the castle, grounds and village and due to the flexibility the venue offered, however every single interaction with the venue proved to be exceptional. Amanda made every interaction seemless and completely stress-free, she was perfectly organised, constantly pro-active and absolutely lovely. Nothing was too much and it was an absolute joy to work with her. Amanda and Georgia and their team then managed the day itself beautifully, absolutely everything was taken care of before it needed to be and before anyone had to be asked, they filled in any gaps we had left in the planning and allowed the day and the people involved to flow perfectly. I could not recommend them enough. Everyone from the cafe staff to the gardeners to the admin team was exceptional, I am wracking my brains for an occasion to be able to use Chiddingstone and the team as a venue again! Book book book!!
I have nothing but endless gratitude for chiddingstone castle and the service they provided on our wedding day. Our day was endlessly perfect, stress free and all anyone talks about is how beautiful chiddingstone was. If you are thinking of booking the venue, please do because you will not regret it. -

From start to finish, chiddingstone were amazing.
We managed to book, plan and have our wedding all within a year. The package was such good value we just couldn't miss out. We had 65 guests to the day time and more for the evening.
We had great communication throughout the process with chiddingstone, sometimes because of shift patterns it felt longer between emails. But if I needed a swift answer to something then they were just a phone call away.
The whole team was amazing, giving us the attention we needed. Answering all questions even if they might have seemed a bit silly. But helped us feel at ease though the whole process.

We honestly cannot thank Chiddingstone Castle enough for giving us the most incredible wedding day. From the moment we first visited, we knew there was something very special about this place.
We looked around multiple wedding venues before making our decision, but Chiddingstone Castle stood out from our very first meeting. The setting is breathtaking, the atmosphere is incredibly romantic, and there is something about the castle and its grounds that makes it feel completely unique. We knew almost immediately that this was where we wanted to get married.
The events team were fantastic throughout the build-up to the wedding and made the whole process feel so easy and reassuring. Amanda in particular was brilliant, both in the lead-up and on the day itself, ensuring everything was organised and that we were able to simply relax and enjoy our wedding.
Our ceremony in the Orangery was absolutely magical. Even though we had rain on our wedding day, it somehow made the setting even more beautiful. Sitting in the Orangery with the rain falling outside, surrounded by our family and friends, is something we will never forget.
We then had our wedding breakfast in the stunning Grand Hall, which provided the most incredible backdrop for dinner. The atmosphere in the room was fantastic and it felt incredibly special to be celebrating with all of our favourite people in such a beautiful and historic setting.
The level of care shown by the staff towards our guests throughout the day was exceptional. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, attentive and friendly, and so many of our guests commented afterwards on how well they had been looked after. The butler service during dinner was a particular highlight and added such a special touch to the day.
And the food was fantastic. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted amazing, and our guests couldn't stop talking about it afterwards.
We also have to mention the value. We visited several wedding venues before choosing Chiddingstone Castle, and we genuinely felt that what was offered here was incredible value. You get such a beautiful and historic setting, wonderful food, fantastic service and a team that genuinely cares about making your day special.
Perhaps the biggest compliment of all has been hearing so many of our guests tell us that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Hearing that from the people we love most means the absolute world to us, and Chiddingstone Castle played such a huge part in making that possible.
Our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be and more. Despite the rain, we wouldn't change a thing. Chiddingstone Castle gave us a day that we will remember for the rest of our lives, and we will always be incredibly grateful.
If you're considering Chiddingstone Castle as your wedding venue, we honestly couldn't recommend it highly enough. It is something very special. -

11/10 Venue - Can't recommend enough!
My wife and I just recently got married at the incredible venue that was Chiddingstone Castle.
We had an amazing day very much supported by the beautiful venue and very helpful staff. Many people commented how calm we both seemed on the day of the wedding and it's safe to say the professional Chiddingstone team were behind that.
I could not recommend Chiddingstone castle enough. The spectacular setting, staff, food, drinks - all of it was perfect.
We had a guest list of 80 hosted dinner in the great hall which felt like a good number for that room and packing out the dance floor. The outdoor orangery for the ceremony was stunning. The staff and wedding co-ordinator team took care of all the little details on the day and handled all the communications between our various suppliers.
We also felt that the venue was really good value for money and we were very fortunate to find the venue after sorting through hundreds online.
Chiddingstone Castle Team and venue take a bow, you deserve an 11/10 rating -

Georgia couldn't do enough to ensure that our wishes were met. The venue is absolutely stunning and the staff always friendly and helpful. The package was really good value for money and they were flexible around it to meet our needs. Everyone commented on how beautiful the wedding was. We would recommend this beautiful venue, especially as they give you full exclusivity. -

Alex Sent on 23/10/2024Beautiful venue, but with a few logistical challenges
Chiddingstone Castle is an absolutely stunning venue in Kent, and my husband and I were immediately captivated by its beauty and charm. One of the standout features for us was the privacy of having the entire venue to ourselves, which made our wedding day feel truly special. The grounds are gorgeous, and the flow between the indoor spaces and outdoor areas allowed the day to transition beautifully from one part to another.
However, there are a few important considerations for future couples. The main hall, which is marketed as seating up to 80 guests, felt very tight with just 66. It was quite a squeeze, and that’s something to keep in mind if you’re planning for a larger guest list. Additionally, while the top table is historic and beautiful, it’s unfortunately quite small for a traditional wedding party setup. We had to shuffle our seating, and I found myself unable to comfortably fit my legs under the table due to a large table leg right in front of me.
The staff were lovely and accommodating, but the overall organisation could be improved. Due to IT restrictions, they aren’t able to use cloud-based platforms like Google Sheets, which made it difficult to share updated schedules and planning documents. We also experienced some confusion with their records during meetings. After the wedding, we had an unfortunate incident with our leftover wine, which led to a bit of a back-and-forth with the staff. Although it was eventually resolved and the wine was found, the process was more stressful than it needed to be.
I’d suggest that they invest in something like Roll Pallet Mesh Cages to keep track of items during venue turnover. It would make a world of difference and avoid misplacement. For example, I had to return after our honeymoon to collect champagne that had been forgotten.
Lastly, when it came to personal touches, I sometimes felt discouraged. I wanted to do a few things differently, such as placing our cake on a mobile table so it could be moved into the main hall for cutting after being displayed. As I had made a 6-tier cake myself. I knew exactly how to execute this, but I felt the venue wasn't fully supportive of those kinds of unique ideas. While everything ultimately worked out brilliantly, and we were very pleased with the way our customisations added to the day, a bit more encouragement from the staff would have been appreciated.
Overall, Chiddingstone Castle is a breathtaking venue, and we had a wonderful day, but there are a few areas where improvements could make the experience smoother for future couples. -

We stumbled across Chiddingstone Castle while searching for intimate wedding venues online, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. From the very beginning, Natalie, our wedding venue coordinator, was an absolute dream to work with. She is the sweetest person—responsive, flexible, and always willing to accommodate our needs.
Despite planning our wedding from abroad and never having seen the venue in person, we felt completely at ease working with Natalie. Her professionalism and warmth made the process seamless.
On the day of the wedding, everything went perfectly. Natalie, Lindsey and the rest of the staff were absolutely amazing—helpful, kind, and considerate. They went above and beyond to ensure that our day was everything we had hoped for.
