Had the best day of our lives here. From the moment we first visited, we knew we wanted Bassmead to be our venue - it was exactly what we were looking for.
The staff were amazing, the food was incredible, our guests were well looked after and the venue is breathtaking. It really feels like you’re in your own little bubble all day.
Jade did an incredible job throughout and helped with all of our queries, no matter how small or silly they were - and was on hand throughout the day.
Thank you so much everyone, you helped give us the best wedding that we and our guests will remember for the rest of our lives.

Bassmead is simply Perfection
Bassmead is the perfect venue. From the beautiful surroundings to the most incredible team, it made our wedding day in November 2025 so special! Storm Claudia tried her best to ruin the day but the team rallied round and kept us all smiling and calm. The barns are simply beautiful. The food is unreal, people are still talking about the pie to this day. From the day we were shown round the venue, to booking, to planning and during the day, the team couldn’t have done more for us and they made the whole process so enjoyable. We can’t thank you enough for making our day everything we wanted it to be and more. Special mention to the Queen that is Ally who coordinated it to perfection!

We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect venue for our day. From the moment we viewed the venue and were show around we could tell it was the venue for us. The staff are absolutely incredible and nothing was too much.
Our events manager Ally was incredible and you could tell that she loved her job! From the beginning she was attentive, organised and cared about the little details.
We were extremely lucky to have 32 degrees on our wedding day and the venue was blooming. The care and attention to detail meant that our photos are absolutely incredible.
We had heard that the food at Bassmead was amazing and can confirm on the day that it was incredible. Possibly the best steak I have ever eaten!
Our guests said how breathtaking the drive up to the venue was and how professional all the staff were, from those behind the bar to those serving our dinner.
We would wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone. Thank you so much for going above and beyond. We will definitely be back for a past couples event in the future!Bassmead Manor Barns's reply:

Our Dream Day!
I cannot recommend Bassmead Manor Barns enough! The venue is absolutely stunning, the staff cannot do enough for you and the food is top tier! ( a lot of our guests said it was the best wedding food they’ve had!)
Our day was absolutely stunning and we are so so pleased to have such wonderful memories from it!
It’s evident the team at Bassmead are specialists in what they do. Every single small detailed was thought of and more! They are like little fairies on the day and things just happen without even noticing!
Honestly, just book on for a show around and you will fall in love with Bassmead!
Ally, our events manager went above and beyond and we cannot thank her enough!
Very good and clear communication right from the get go.

Bassmead Manor Barns is the most perfect wedding venue we could have dreamed of to get married at.
After visiting some venues, nothing else came close to the beautiful setting, incredible team, breathtaking views and outstanding facilities here.
From the moment we booked well in advance, the communication was friendly, clear and reassuring every step of the way.
One of the highlights in the run up to the wedding was the tasting day, which was not only a delicious experience but also gave us a real sense of how amazing the food / experience would be on the day.
The staff went above and beyond to support us throughout the lead up and on the wedding day itself. The venue itself is stunning, the rustic charm of the barns combined with the beautiful outdoor spaces and picturesque views created the perfect backdrop for our photos.
We and our guests felt completely at ease and cared for which made the day all the more special. If you’re searching for a venue that truly has everything you need: amazing food, a great team, gorgeous surroundings, every facility you possibly can think of then Bassmead Manor Barns definitely ticks those boxes.Bassmead Manor Barns's reply:

Michael Sent on 18/08/2025The Most Perfect Day at Bassmead – A Wedding Experience Beyond Our Expectations
From the moment we first stepped foot into Bassmead Manor Barns, we knew it was special – but nothing could have prepared us for just how perfect our wedding day there would be. Every single detail, from the stunning setting to the incredible staff, exceeded all expectations and left us (and our guests) blown away.
The venue itself is breathtaking. The combination of the medieval Rickety Barn for the ceremony and the beautiful Moat Barn for the reception creates such a unique atmosphere – rustic charm with modern elegance. Walking down the aisle in the Rickety Barn felt so intimate and magical, and yet it still comfortably held all of our family and friends. Later, moving seamlessly into the Moat Barn for the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations felt effortless; the whole flow of the day was faultless.
The grounds are immaculate and gave us the most beautiful backdrop for photos. Guests couldn’t stop complimenting how picture-perfect everything was – from the gardens to the moat itself. It truly feels like a hidden gem, a world away from everything else, which made it feel all the more personal and ours for the day.
What really made the difference though, was the team at Bassmead. Jade, our coordinator, deserves a special mention. She was calm, organised, and had this amazing ability to make us feel completely at ease, even when nerves started creeping in. The whole team worked tirelessly behind the scenes so that everything ran smoothly, and we genuinely didn’t have to worry about a thing. That meant we could just soak up the day and be present, which is something priceless.
The food was exceptional – we’ve lost count of the number of guests who told us it was the best wedding food they’d ever had. Every course was spot on, beautifully presented and delicious. The evening food was just as good, and no one went hungry. It’s clear that Bassmead doesn’t just treat food as part of the day, but as a highlight in itself.
We also stayed in Dove Cottage, which was such a lovely touch – it gave us a chance to reflect on the day together in comfort without having to worry about travelling anywhere afterwards. It’s those small but meaningful details that make Bassmead stand out.
Looking back, we honestly wouldn’t change a single thing. Bassmead gave us the wedding day we had always hoped for, and more. Our family and friends were full of praise, not only for how beautiful the venue was, but also for how warm and attentive the staff were throughout.
If you’re considering getting married here, don’t hesitate. Bassmead isn’t just a venue – it’s a whole experience delivered with care, passion, and professionalism. It will always hold a very special place in our hearts.

Made sure to communicate all details and made us comfortable throughout the day. They made getting married easy. They checked on us before the wedding with open events and taster sessions they made us feel special before our special day. With early morning entry to the venue with the bouquet made getting ready peaceful as you don't need to travel anywhere so it keeps costing down as you are all in one place.
They make sure your belly are full throughout the day from morning breakfast, to making sure your served your own canapès first, diner makes your mouth water with such a large menu to choose from that meets all your budget needs and finally the evening food whether you want something something small to just to snack on to pizzas that are cooked in their outside pizza oven.
The venue is just beautiful very well decorated with the mote and lite up bridge, long entrance drive, each room just perfect with just the right amount of little touches to make it romantic.
The staff are all so helpful and cheerful you are just smiling throughout the day as the staff are there to help whether to pop a joke to make the nerves disappear to give you a cuddle because you just are overwhelmed with the day.

We had our wedding at Bass Manor Barns in October 2024, and we truly cannot recommend it enough. From start to finish, the entire experience exceeded our expectations. The venue itself is absolutely stunning—rustic yet elegant, with beautifully restored barns surrounded by breathtaking countryside views that made for the most magical autumn backdrop.
The charm of the barns, the layout of the grounds, and the cozy yet grand ambiance created such a warm and intimate atmosphere for our guests. Every little detail had clearly been thought through, and it was the perfect blend of romantic and relaxed.
What really made the experience exceptional, though, was the team behind the venue. They were incredibly helpful, responsive, and accommodating throughout the entire planning process. On the day itself, everything ran so smoothly that we were able to be fully present and just enjoy the celebration, knowing we were in good hands.
If you’re looking for a wedding venue that feels both timeless and unique—with plenty of character, great photo opportunities, and a team that genuinely cares—Bass Manor Barns is the one. We feel so lucky to have celebrated our big day there. It was everything we hoped for and more!
