The most magical, perfect day!
We chose Barley Wood for our wedding in October and it was the most magical, perfect day! Zach the manager could not be more helpful, answering queries, providing info and top tips and helping out during the set up and day of our wedding. The house is beautiful and was the perfect setting. We were lucky enough to get married outside with an amazing view of the countryside and our photos look fantastic, including some beautiful ones taken on the woodland path. Having the venue for the entire weekend really helped ease any stress, being able to set up the day before so we could just enjoy the actual day itself. The flexibility to decorate however we wanted and bring in all of the vendors of our choice makes Barley Wood a stand out in our opinion. We had the most amazing weekend and couldn't recommend it more! Photos by Joab Smith (also amazing!). -

What an absolutely stunning weekend!
I had my wedding here over the weekend of the 18th of October, and what an absolutely stunning weekend it was.
Zach and the team were a dream to work with, and the day could not have run more smoothly.
The venue is stunning, do not be put off by the blank canvas you are presented with, it allows you to have your day exactly how you want it. It can cost as much or as little as you like, and be as simple or extravagant as you please.
I had my wedding at Barley Wood on the weekend of October 18th, and it was absolutely stunning. Zach and his team were a dream to work with, and everything ran smoothly throughout the day.
The venue itself is beautiful; don't be discouraged by the blank canvas it presents. This flexibility allows you to design your day exactly as you envision it. You can tailor the costs to fit your budget and choose a style that is as simple or extravagant as you desire.
Barley Wood truly felt like our own home for the weekend, and we were genuinely sad to leave on Sunday.
If you have viewed the space and think it might be the perfect fit for you, don’t hesitate, just book it! I promise, it’s worth it. -

The best weekend we could imagine!
We knew as soon as we visited that we wanted to get married at Barley Wood House. You get it for the whole weekend, it has accommodation on site, a beautiful outdoor ceremony location, gardens, terrace, hall and dance floor. The multiple locations in the building make the whole day very smooth, the dance floor in particular was just perfect with our band! You can chose your own catering, we used Coexist (Bristol based community kitchen) who were so perfect and lots of people seemed to like. We particularly love Zach, who works at BWH, who is so kind, knowledgeable and helpful - he made sure our weekend went so smoothly, we just had the best weekend we could imagine. -

Beautiful wedding venue with the freedom to dress however you want. Having the weekend to set up get married and then pack down made me feel that they really valued you and wanted to make your day as special as possible. Everything felt really personal and not like we were going to a wedding factory. We had the most beautiful day and the range in the grounds created the most beautiful pictures. -

What an amazing venue! We absolutely fell in love with Barley Wood House when we first saw it (and met the brilliant Zach!) and we couldn't have asked for more.
We were able to arrive on Friday morning to set up - the house is beautiful anyway but it's great to be able to add your own personal touches (we had a sunflower theme which was perfect for the sunny weather). We got married in the summer house - twice! Officially on the Friday with the registrar and unofficially with our good friend as celebrant on the Saturday.
There's so much space and the grounds are gorgeous. Our wedding was family-friendly (we have kids) so the gardens, rope swing, garden games, plus the kids' bell tent we organised, were all perfect. And then all the space in the house! We used the main room for our wedding breakfast / evening do, and then had the Morning Rom for a quieter space, plus the terrace.
In terms of suppliers, Bev and Steve do the bar (and are great!) and you can choose your own suppliers for everything else (there are recommended suppliers if you're looking for some help).
The cherry on top is the nine double bedrooms / five massive bathrooms that are also yours for the weekend. It was so wonderful staying there with our closest people and the rooms are AMAZING!
Finally, the support we got from Zach was second to none. He was so helpful with advice and suggestions, super quick to respond, brilliant on the day making sure it all went smoothly - an absolute legend.
We absolutely loved every second of our wedding and could not recommend this venue highly enough. -

The most perfect weekend
We had the most perfect weekend at Barley Wood for our wedding. It's a beautiful, spacious house set in the most idyllic grounds with terrace, lawn, and Italian gardens. We fell in love with it the moment we arrived, it felt so special and we couldn't wait to get married under the Temple. Zach is an amazing venue manager. He's really warm and friendly, very responsive and with great attention to detail. In the run up to the wedding, he was brilliant at answering our questions and giving us advice, he went above and beyond. On the day, we were made to feel at ease as if it were our own home, but we knew we could always get in touch if we needed anything. With 9 double rooms and 5 full bathrooms complete with roll top baths, we were delighted to be able to put up our friends and family for the event. We loved Barley Wood so much and hope to visit again soon. -

It was incredible
I got married here at the end of may and it was incredible. Zach, the venue manager, was amazing from the very start and kept us updated with what was going on right up through to the wedding day. The venue is absolutely stunning and I still can't get over how great the views are! Inside is just as beautiful as out and the fact we had it for the whole weekend meant that we were able to make it a proper weekend celebration with family and friends and also allowed us to add our own personal touches! I would recommend Barley Wood as a venue! -
