Thaina and Hosanna wedding at Alrewas Hayes

From the first time we went to visit the venue we fell in love and immediately knew this was the place where we would love to have our big day. The Alrewas Hayes team was amazing especially our planner Emma who diligently worked along side us every month up until the day of. She answered all our questions and made sure we were happy at all times. When it came to setting up the venue for the wedding the team was so helpful and made myself and my husband and our family feel confident that everything was under control. The team and the owners maintained the utmost professionalism all throughout the course of this process, making a typically stressful season/period much more bearable just be being intentional with every detail, especially things that us as newly weds and first time weds would have made huge oversights for. They are well experienced, and they made us feel as though this venue was crafted for our day alone - we forgot that they tended to other couples too! That’s how special they made us feel. Needless to say the venue is absolutely breathtaking, and our guests kept saying that it was the most beautiful wedding day they had ever been too. We would not have done it any other way, and would choose Emma and her team a million times over. One hundred time out of ten would recommend Alrewas Hayes and their team!! Thank you so much again for everything, 5 stars will never be enough xx

The most special day, celebrated in the most special place.

As soon as we arrived for our viewing appointment, we knew Alrewas Hayes was a special place. From the beautiful setting to the little details, everything felt just right, and we’re so glad we chose the venue for our wedding day.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by such a warm, professional and friendly team. Amie, our wedding coordinator, went above and beyond throughout the whole process to make sure our day was everything we hoped for — and it truly was.

At every meeting, our ideas and wishes were always at the forefront. No matter how big or small the request, Amie was always able to make it happen and made the whole experience feel completely personal to us.

We were lucky enough to taste the food and wine before the day, which was absolutely superb — and our guests were still praising the canapés and wedding breakfast afterwards.

Our wedding day was perfect, and the Alrewas Hayes team played such a huge part in that. They managed to be incredibly professional while also being calm, reassuring and attentive, which made such a difference.

We couldn’t have wished for a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding. We’re so grateful we chose Alrewas Hayes.

Horrendous Staff and Management!

I attended a family wedding at this venue and was also supporting with logistics and catering on behalf of the bride’s family. Unfortunately, while the venue itself is lovely, the experience with the events team and management was extremely disappointing.

In the morning, the wedding coordinator was initially pleasant and we agreed how we would coordinate certain things throughout the day. She took my number specifically so we could stay in contact.

One example was the buttonhole flowers for the bride and groom’s guests. We agreed that she would let me know before moving and distributing them so we could coordinate both sides of the family. Instead, she moved them without telling me and, after several unanswered calls, eventually told me she had already started handing them out. At this point, none of the bride’s side had received their flowers or even knew where they were. We then had to scramble around ourselves to make sure everyone had one.

We had also agreed beforehand that drinks could be stored in the fridge. The coordinator specifically told me to let her know when we needed them and that she would arrange for staff to bring them out. This later became part of a completely different account given to management, suggesting we had been asking venue staff to work for us. This simply was not the case. The only assistance requested was bringing out the drinks because that was the arrangement the coordinator herself had made with us.

Another disappointing part of the day was how the bride’s immediate family were treated. The first event started at 1pm, yet the bride’s parents were not given access to their room. They were told to clear the dressing room and were left moving suitcases themselves, downstairs and then back upstairs to the bride’s room, with no venue staff or coordinator around to assist. This included the bride’s parents, brother, sister-in-law and a seven-month-old baby.

On somebody’s wedding day, I would expect the venue team to be doing everything possible to reduce stress for the immediate family, not adding to it.

Things became significantly worse during the canapé reception.

One of my uncles cannot drink spirits for medical reasons but occasionally has a glass of red wine\. I asked the bar for a glass and even offered to pay for it, but was told no\. The coordinator said she would need to ask the bride\. Rather than have the bride disturbed over something so small on her wedding day, I called her myself, explained the situation and she was completely happy for him to have the wine\.

For whatever reason, the coordinator appeared unhappy that I had spoken directly to the bride and subsequently went to management\.

What happened next was by far the most unacceptable part of the entire experience\.

A member of management asked me to come outside to speak to him\. What followed was not a professional conversation, a discussion or even an attempt to understand what had happened\. He immediately became extremely aggressive towards me, raising his voice and shouting at me in a manner that I can only describe as intimidating and verbally abusive\.

He had made absolutely no attempt to establish the facts or hear my side before confronting me\. Instead, I was taken outside and subjected to an aggressive verbal confrontation based entirely on what he had apparently been told by the coordinator\.

I was genuinely shocked by the way I was being spoken to\. I was a guest at a family wedding, a close member of the bride’s family and someone who had been helping with logistics throughout the day\. Yet I was being shouted at and spoken to aggressively by a member of the venue’s management as though this behaviour towards a guest was somehow acceptable\.

It was not\.

Even if management believed there had been an issue, there is a professional way to deal with it\. You speak to someone calmly, establish what has happened and try to resolve the situation\. You do not take a wedding guest outside and aggressively shout at them without first establishing the facts\.

What made this even more frustrating was that the accusations being made were simply not accurate\. I was accused of expecting venue staff to work for us because the external catering team was apparently short\-staffed\. This did not happen\. The only time venue staff were asked to bring something out was when the drinks were needed, and that was because the event coordinator herself had previously told me they would be stored away and that her staff would bring them out when required\.

For management to behave so aggressively towards a guest without even checking whether what they had been told was accurate was, in my view, completely unacceptable\.

I have spent around 20 years working in and leading events and have dealt with venues, suppliers, clients and high\-pressure situations throughout my career\. I have never experienced a member of venue management speak to a guest in this manner at a wedding\.

There is a significant difference between poor customer service and a member of management behaving aggressively and intimidatingly towards a guest\. This crossed that line\.

No guest should ever be treated this way, let alone at a wedding where the venue is supposed to be creating a safe, welcoming and enjoyable experience for the couple, their families and their guests\.

The venue itself is beautiful, although I found the bedrooms quite dated\. Unfortunately, the service and management experience completely overshadowed the setting\.

If you are considering this venue for your wedding because of how beautiful it looks, I would strongly recommend thinking carefully about who will actually be responsible for managing your day\. A wedding should be an occasion where the couple and their families feel supported and looked after, with the venue team taking stress away rather than creating more of it\.

Based on our experience, that was sadly not the case here.

The dreamiest day at Alrewas Hayes

We had our wedding at Alrewas Hayes on 21st May 2026 and we could not recommend them more. We booked our wedding in January 2024 and we had a key point of contact throughout for any questions or support. We had 2 planning meetings, a taster evening for our menu choices and were given countless opportunities to attend the venue to do walk through if we needed it. Emma and the team were outstanding on the lead up to the wedding and on the wedding day. Everyone from the catering team to bar staff were friendly and could not do enough for you. Many of our guests told us that the food was the best they had had at any wedding before. The whole team made sure that the day ran smoothly and we felt relaxed enough to enjoy the day to its fullest. It was genuinely one of the best days of our lives and a big part of that is thanks to the team! We will be recommending you for a lifetime, Thank you Emma and the team at Alrewas Hayes!

The most memorable day

We had our wedding at the beautiful Alrewas Hayes in April. From the moment we saw the venue, we knew it was the perfect one for us! The interior and exterior are so well kept and cared for - everything was modern, clean and fresh, whilst still in keeping with its charm. Our event manager was Emma, who was amazing from start to finish. The communication throughout was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. They gave us advice and suggestions as well as listened to our ideas and executed them in a way beyond our expectations.

The day itself was perfect! Everything flowed as it should and it was so well organised and that was down to the Alrewas Hayes Team. They were always one step ahead and had everything ready and prepared. It allowed us to fully enjoy the day, without having to worry about anything. The food was beautiful; from the canapés, to the wedding breakfast and the evening food! Everything was just perfect.

We had so much positive feedback from our guests about how much they enjoyed the day, the food and the whole atmosphere!

The team at Alrewas Hayes made our wedding so special and we are eternally grateful to have such wonderful memories. Thank you so much for everything!

Wedding Day

Some places just have a warmth to them, and this venue is one of those rare spots. It feels welcoming the moment you arrive — cozy, beautiful, and full of little touches that make you feel taken care of. It’s the kind of setting where you can actually picture a real celebration happening, not just a staged event.

What makes it even more special is the team behind it. The planners here are kind, attentive, and truly thoughtful. They listen closely, they remember the small things, and they bring a gentle steadiness to the entire process. You never feel like just another couple on their calendar — you feel supported, understood, and genuinely celebrated.

Together, the venue and its planners create a wedding day that feels heartfelt. Nothing forced, nothing overly polished — just a sweet, seamless experience where everyone can relax and enjoy the moment. It’s the kind of place where love feels easy, and where the memories you make feel like they’ll stay with you for a long time.

Special thank you to Emma and Nell for making our day so special, we honestly loved every second of our wedding day and we will cherish the memories from our day for the rest of our lives. From the bottom of our heart, thank you - you are the best!

Dream location - fantastic staff!

The most beautiful wedding location! We got married at Alrewas Hayes in September and it was perfect. Emma in particular is such a pleasure to work with and made the planning experience so easy - I didn’t feel stressed once, not even on the morning! Our parents commented specifically how calm she was and how that really helped them feel at ease on a day that otherwise could’ve been incredibly stressful. The rest of the staff were fantastic as well - the service was impeccable, the bar staff friendly, and the food was amazing! We’ve had nothing but compliments about how great the food was, and portions were so much better than most weddings we’ve been to. If we could do our day again, I’d absolutely pick Alrewas Hayes again, it’s just the most perfect place to get married!

The perfect venue!

We want to say the biggest thank you to the Alrewas Hayes team for everything you did to make our wedding day so smooth, beautiful, and unforgettable. From the planning stages right through to the final dance, you were calm, kind, and completely on it.

Kendall, our wedding coordinator was an absolute star. Her support, quick thinking, and warm energy made us feel so looked after. She handled everything with such professionalism—even the little last-minute things—and it meant we could relax and enjoy every moment.

The venue is so beautiful, the food was delicious and the service was excellent through tour the day too. We would recommend the venue to anyone.

Thank you for being such a big part of a day we’ll never forget.

Amazing venue and staff

Elise and the team were amazing from the minute we enquired about holding our wedding at Alrewas Hayes. They were accommodating, professional, easy to work with and always quick to respond with any queries we had. Their attention to detail was great and led to a great couple of days. On the wedding day they were always nearby to help, and ensured that my wife and I had food set aside for us (a small thing but we would have forgotten to eat without it!). The venue itself is beautiful, well kept and helped made our wedding very memorable for ourselves and our guests - all of which were full of praise for the venue and the team. Thank you again, we really appreciate it!

Amazing venue and amazing staff!

The venue sells itself as it’s also absolutely stunning but the staff make the whole experience stress free and are on hand to help with every little detail every step of the way. Nothing I too much trouble. We had the most perfect day at Alrewas Hayes and would recommend it to anyone thinking of getting married here
