Nestled within the beautiful Norfolk countryside, Bressingham Hall & High Barn offers a stunning, exclusive wedding venue at the world-renowned Bressingham Gardens. While the venue is ideal for all manner of parties and events, the romantic setting is perfect for a wonderful wedding celebration.
The High Barn, a stunning 19th-century oak barn, is the perfect place to hold your special occasion. Whether you are planning a large, lavish occasion or a more intimate affair, the venue is flexible to suit your celebration. The High Barn can hold up to 150 guests. In addition, our award-winning, in-house caterer will prepare food of the highest standard for your wedding breakfast.
You can choose to get married in your local church before arriving at Bressingham Hall for your wedding reception. Alternatively, we can hold weddings and partnerships here.
Adjacent to the High Barn, Bressingham Hall provides overnight accommodation for up to 21 of your closest friends and family members. The Hall boasts well-appointed en-suite bedrooms, a kitchen, a large dining room and a sitting room, creating a home from home during your stay.
To help you throughout your plans and preparations, our excellent event planners are on hand. We will make sure that you get the most out of the wonderful venue whilst helping you to plan a day which meets all of your requirements yet exceeds your expectations.

Our WOW factor is not just our beautiful Barn but 17 acres of the most stunning gardens as your backdrop, and a Vintage Carousel which you can hire privately in the evening for the most amazing fun guest activity. Meet the team
Matt grew up at Bressingham, surrounded by the gardens his Grandad Alan Bloom, mum Rosemary, and dad Adrian lovingly created — the same enchanted 17 acres that form the backdrop to your wedding today.
His childhood was spent exploring the countryside, building camps in the woods, playing hide and seek in the wonderful Bressingham Hall, and — alas — many summer days weeding the gardens.
At 18, Matt left Bressingham to follow his love of traditional craftsmanship, training as a timber framer and spending years travelling the world on foot and by land. His adventures eventually led him to the Lake District, where he made the most of his passion for climbing and hiking.
In 2018, he returned home to take the helm at Bressingham, overseeing the Hall, Barn, and Estate. Today, alongside running weddings and events, Matt’s heart lies in restoring the surrounding fenland and farmland, reintroducing heritage breeds of pigs — with goats and ducks soon to follow — and continuing to champion the landscape that shaped him.
