Who we are
Michael and Chris run Gild and Ink, a wedding stationery business based in Ipswich, Suffolk. Our passion for this business comes from our backgrounds, Michael in upholstery and Chris in digital design. We share a love for design and colour, offering a service that tells a story for the guests receiving them.
The idea for Gild and Ink came from when Chris was selling foiled name cards on Etsy. A product that was selling fantastically, we decided to work together to expand this into a full range of wedding stationery.
What we do
We understand that all weddings are personal and unique. All of our ranges are fully customisable, so if you want us to tweak a design, not a problem. Need to colour match to your wedding scheme, absolutely. If you want something completely unique, we offer a bespoke service so we are able to make it 100% personal to you. We want to get to know you and what drives your love for each other.
What makes us different
We work alongside a local print company who have invested heavily into their digital print operations. We are also able to offer a raised foiling and spot UV option to all of our stationery. Unlike conventional foiling, which is debossed into the paper, the raised foiling adds an embossed texture and shine. By working closely, we understand the machinery and know without a doubt that we can offer the highest quality stationery at a reasonable price.
How to order
Our website features customisation pages for our stationery items. There are also options to add other items alongside, including printed envelopes for when you don't fancy writing them out 100 times! If you would prefer to discuss this and we build the package for you, drop us an email, and we will happily assist.
We send proofs of all stationery items to you for your approval or tweaks. Nothing goes to print until you confirm you are happy with the final designs.
Can't see something on the website
We are always expanding our range and types of stationery items. If you would like something printed but cannot see it, get in touch, and chances are we will be able to create it.
