It started with one dog and two very important questions: “How can I have him there?” and “Who will look after him?”
When I got married, I knew I wanted my dog, Bruce, to be part of our day, but I also knew that weddings can be overwhelming for dogs. I didn’t want a family member or guest to have to miss the celebrations to look after him, so I wished there was someone whose sole focus was making sure he was safe, happy and comfortable. That’s where the idea for Paws & Veil Co. began.
Our bespoke dog chaperone service is designed to take the worry out of having your dog at your wedding. From your initial meet-and-greet and helping your dog settle into the day, to walks, toilet breaks, treats, enrichment, cuddles and handling throughout the celebrations, your dog is cared for every step of the way. We can accompany them to your ceremony, photographs and reception, or create a plan around whatever works best for them.
We also offer overnight stays, so your dog can continue to have dedicated care once the celebrations are over. And because they deserve to look the part too, bow tie hire is included in every package, with a selection of beautiful styles to choose from.
Above all, we put your dog’s welfare first. Every dog is different, and our role is to make sure they can be part of your special day without being expected to cope with more than they can handle.

Meet the team
Hi, I’m Marta, the founder of Paws & Veil Co. I’ve been working with dogs for the past 8 years, with a background in dog training and canine behaviour, and I’m passionate about helping dogs feel safe, understood and comfortable in the world around them.
I created Paws & Veil Co. after getting married myself and realising just how difficult it can be to have your dog involved in your wedding day while also making sure they’re genuinely happy and not overwhelmed. Our dogs are such an important part of our families, so I wanted to create a service that allows couples to include them in their special day without putting pressure on them or asking a friend or family member to miss part of the celebrations.
I bring my experience in canine behaviour and body language to every wedding, taking the time to get to know each dog and work at their pace. For me, it’s all about creating those beautiful memories while making sure your dog’s welfare always comes first.
