Hi. I’m Nila, and together with Dipika, we are the founders of Sparkle Confetti, which is a wedding planning business in West London.

Last year, I got married for the second time to the same man. I am British Indian, and my husband is Dutch. We decided on two weddings – a civil wedding in the Netherlands and a traditional Indian ceremony in the UK. Both days were amazing and will always stay with me as the most treasured memories. However, I was excited and overwhelmed in equal measure when I started planning the day. My husband and I had a very definite idea of the kind of day we would like to celebrate our union, so though we had help from family and friends, we planned both our weddings.

Our Matron of Honour was invaluable in helping us with our UK wedding. We trusted her with everything we asked her to do. She was great at thinking outside of the box and provided that emotional support that you sometimes need when planning a wedding. We tasked her with many things, which she executed. This led us to have more time to plan what we thought were more enjoyable tasks.

Sparkle Confetti came to be when our Matron of Honour, who is a close cousin of ours, suggested months later that we set up a wedding planning business. I have 20 years of experience in making television programmes, so planning events is something that comes naturally.

We can’t promise years of wedding planning experience. Our experience is personal. We understand the importance of wanting your day to be the best. We want you to enjoy your special day.
