Services Offered
First: Setting up your event. Lily Happens will help you organise every aspect of your wedding, whether you envision a religious, symbolic, themed, or outdoor occasion. After an initial meeting in which you will describe your ideas for your wedding, they will proceed to the fruition of every detail. For them, every wedding should be crafted like a custom-made suit, starting from each couple's uniqueness and desires.
Second: Assistance on the day of offers coverage for the event so that everything goes according to plan. Lily Happens will build the event lineup, supervise vendors, and coordinate so everything runs smoothly.
About the founder
Swedish by birth but Romanian to the core, I graduated with honors in statistical sciences but have been working for 30 years in marketing and communication. I have always had great organizational, planning, and attention to detail skills. Eight years ago, I started a new project with the Wedding Industry Academy, getting involved in the wedding world out of passion, which has led me to conceive a studio that I share with a fashion designer and a photographer.
I love the wedding day, but even more everything that happens before and after. My suggestion is: let yourself be surprised!

Our Perfect Day
From the beginning, she was warm, personable, incredibly resourceful, and always made us feel as though we were in capable hands. Planning a wedding for a couple all the way around the world, and who also didn’t speak much Italian at all, had to be difficult, but Giovanna consistently found solutions and used her knowledge, contacts, and resources to make the process easier for us, and to organize an amazing wedding day.
I’d like to point out that, when our first venue cancelled on us unexpectedly, Giovanna took the initiative and secured such a beautiful alternate venue that, in retrospect, is hard to imagine our ceremony being held anywhere else. I’m sure it was a stressful situation for her but she handled it brilliantly.
On the wedding day itself, we were able to simply enjoy ourselves because Giovanna was working tirelessly behind the scenes. From coordinating vendors and managing the setup to keeping everything moving according to schedule, she made sure all of the countless little details came together seamlessly. We know there was an enormous amount happening that we never even saw—which is probably the greatest compliment we can give a wedding planner. Everything just worked and worked well.
Beyond her professionalism, Giovanna is also just a genuinely lovely person. She was patient, approachable, reassuring, and an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire experience. She even gave us some small gifts, which was totally unexpected but very appreciated.
Giovanna was also very reasonably priced when comparing the market; she was half the price of other planners but I can’t imagine we would have gotten better service elsewhere.
Our wedding in Rome was everything we hoped it would be, and it wouldn’t have happened without Giovanna. We are incredibly grateful for everything she did for us and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding in Rome.

We visited Rome a couple of times during the planning process to meet with prospective vendors, and Giovanna organized everything to make those visits as productive and seamless as possible. In the lead-up to the wedding, she also helped us with logistics, stationery, hotel room blocks, and many other details. She provided a full-service planning experience and helped us navigate all the moving parts of organizing a wedding from abroad.
Throughout the process, Giovanna was very responsive to our texts and calls, and we scheduled several video conferences to discuss plans and make sure everything was on track. On the wedding day itself, Giovanna and her team were helpful in coordinating with vendors and supporting us directly. When the weather became unpredictable, they helped us work through alternative plans and adapt to the changing conditions.
Overall, we were very happy with Giovanna’s support and dedication. Having someone so responsive and helpful, and who is local to Rome, throughout the entire journey made a real difference.
