Ryan and Erin's Wedding in St Andrews, Fife & Angus

Ryan went with his dad and designed a custom kilt outfit at MacGregor & MacDuff, he chose every aspect of the outfit and loved getting so involved with the process. We ended up with spare fabric from the kilt making that was made into hand fasting ties and a ring cushion by the groom's mum!

The décor in the venue was show stopping! The Christmas trees and venue lighting were gorgeous and the florals by Thistle Flower Weddings were breath-taking! Yvonne made a custom archway for us to get married in front of and candle lit the aisle and top table. The centre pieces were a great mix of heights and textures that brought a festive spirit without being to 'Christmassy'. I gave Yvonne free reign with the Bouquets and button holes and they just looked gorgeous.

We got married on the day of Storm Darragh and it put a stop to lots of our photo plans, we braved the cold and wind for twenty minutes but our photographer, Dougi McMillan easily spied some great inside spaces to get family pics.

Our day was so perfectly completed with a night on the dancefloor, Manhattan wedding band just kept the party going all night, the dancefloor was never empty. The guys knew exactly how to match the vibes and were so quick to change songs/styles to keep things going. A couple of ceilidh dances mixed in throughout the night gave us the Scottish wedding feel without exhausting everyone up front. Trying to do Strip the Willow in my dress and nearly breaking a few necks in the process is a memory I think everyone will laugh about for a long time to come.

We would not change a single thing about our day, we were so glad we did exactly what we wanted and incorporated the unique things that made our day all about us.
