The day of our wedding was a whirlwind of emotions, and looking back, it's clear it was a perfect reflection of us—full of love, laughter, and a little bit of chaos. It all began with a morning that felt both exciting and a little surreal.
The moment everyone had been waiting for arrived at 2 p.m. As the ceremony began, the world seemed to fade away. All I could focus on was her. I'd always prided myself on keeping a calm, cool demeanor, but as she started walking down the aisle to the sweet, nostalgic sound of Elvis Costello’s “She” played on the violin, I completely lost it. Seeing her, so radiant and smiling, was enough to bring me to tears.
After the ceremony, the skies opened up in a beautiful, brief shower. Amid the flurry of raindrops, we all enjoyed a lovely drinks reception with canapés. But the most intimate moment of all was saved for just the two of us. We snuck away to the quiet boat house, and with only the sound of the water, we exchanged our personalized vows. They weren't just words; they were promises, secrets, and inside jokes—a sacred, one-on-one exchange that felt like a tiny wedding just for our hearts.

From tear-jerking tales of childhood to hilarious anecdotes, each speech painted a picture of our journey, leaving everyone with a full heart. My bride's special effort to learn a few lines in my native Konkani language for my family was a touching tribute, a true testament to her love for me and my family.
As the evening approached, the sky cleared and the sun returned, bathing the dance floor in a warm, golden light. More friends and family arrived, filling the room with even more energy and joy. The night kicked off with our first dance, which was nothing short of brilliant. With her in my arms, I effortlessly lifted and twirled her, a perfect mix of elegance and playful fun. From there, the party truly began! With an epic music playlist, the dance floor was packed until the final hours. The party food arrived, and the celebration continued with guests laughing, dancing, and making memories.
The night concluded at midnight, leaving us and everyone we love with a sense of pure joy and celebration—a perfect ending to a day that was every bit as unique, romantic, and fun as we are. It was a day of beautiful contrasts: from my tears to our shared laughter, from rain to sun, from personal vows to shared dances. A truly unforgettable day.
