Budget and don't be pushed to over spend! It can so easily feel like you're not spending enough or guests will judge you for saving the pennies but weddings are expensive so save where you can! My bridesmaid dresses were Ever Prettys end of season sale - I felt so guilty for only spending £40 per lady but they looked stunning and the dresses fitted perfectly! Save the pennies for important factors to you - photographers are worth their money! If you can, create things together. We had so much fun making our centre pieces together as a couple - it saved money and gave us more memories together in creating our perfect day.

We found having a Master of Ceremonies really helpful on the day. To have someone in charge to ensure the day flowed from start to finish was such a relief for me as the Bride. It ensures all the key timings are met, photos are taken and you can just enjoy the day. Ours was dressed as Henry VIII as a personal touch which was also a great talking point for the guests.

Advise I would give to any couples, relax and enjoy the whole process from engagement to wedding day. Everyone says it, but it goes so fast. Remember it's your day - I got bogged down in keeping everyone else happy. As soon as I let that go, I enjoyed the experience so much more. There isn't a right or wrong way to do a Wedding - don't be influenced by instagram or Tiktok - it's your special day, personalise it to you! Your guests will enjoy it far more seeing the special touches instead of another log or single stem vase.

Surround yourself with the postivity, on your day the guests will bounce off you - you set the tone! Something will go wrong - embrace it! You are only doing this once so don't let a missed favour or the wrong song ruin all the hard work!
