Vision Philosophy’s Wilbur was absolutely fantastic. My husband and I had a very unusual request for our civil ceremony photos in London.
We wanted to do a photo shoot around the city, in some of our favourite and most meaningful places, just the two of us. Not only did Wilbur engage with us on this adventure but he gave amazing ideas and helped two very awkward people take some of the most amazing photos of our lives. It was such a fun time, we didn’t even feel time go by.
Everyone who had seen our photos has commented on how amazing they look and we couldn’t be more thankful to Wilbur and Cision Philosophy. -

I found Phil through Hitched after searching for local wedding photographers and his photos really stood out to me. I reached out and had an initial phone call with Phil where he was extremely helpful and guided me through everything perfectly. Leading up to the day it was easy to reach Phil and we discussed the schedule, what photos we were looking to capture and just generally discussing the flow of the day. He is extremely kind and I felt he really cared about capturing the best moments and memories throughout the day. On the day itself he came to the hotel where myself and the bridesmaids were getting ready, he was very discreet and captured some amazing candid moments of all of us that I absolutely love. He then travelled to the venue where he captured guests arriving and the groom greeting people. It was lovely to have both of these moments captured and Phil was more than happy to be flexible with his whereabouts on the morning to ensure these moments were caught on camera. Throughout the rest of the day Phil captured some absolutely beautiful photos, some posed and some candid. He always knew where to be and we had so many compliments from guests about how fantastic he was. We spoke throughout the day about various moments we wanted to capture, I'm very thankful for him asking myself and the groom about getting certain photos as the day went by in the blink of an eye for us and he kept us on track making sure we got everything we wanted to get. After now having the photos back, his kindness, professionalism, creativity and pure skill come through in all the pictures and we couldn't be happier. These moments will stay with us forever and are something we will look back on in years to come. If you are thinking of booking Vision Philosophy for your wedding, do it, you will not regret it. I found Phil via Bark after a friend had found a photographer local to her there, I’m so glad I did.
Early on Phil took the time to message and speak to via phone putting me at ease.
I’ve described Phil’s work as if ‘He really knew me’ but yet we had only met the morning of our wedding. We honestly couldn’t have asked for anymore from him. He managed to capture all the moments I had hoped without even asking and any moments I had requested especially, he absolutely delivered. He adapted to our special day, capturing all the things that made it us. He was fun, patient and documented our ceremony and day perfectly.
For most of the images we didn’t notice Phil was there, he captured all these moments without us even knowing!
Receiving the images brought me to tears, reliving our perfect day all over again.
Thank you so much Phil, we will forever be grateful for your incredible work!

We had such a great experience with Phil from start to finish.
Communication with Phil was easy and straightforward throughout the whole process. He was always responsive, clear and to the point — no unnecessary fuss, and you can tell that he really knows what he’s doing. He also gave us a few small but really useful tips on the day, which helped everything run smoothly. He was very quick to adapt whenever the situation changed, which was especially helpful on a busy wedding day.
For the couple and group photos, Phil gave clear and concise instructions, so we never felt awkward or unsure about what to do. Everything felt very natural rather than overly staged, which was exactly what we wanted.
But the biggest reason we chose Phil — and what we think is his strongest point — is his ability to capture emotions. He captured all the laughter, hugs, little interactions and genuine feelings throughout the day so beautifully. Looking back at the photos, it’s those candid moments that bring the wedding day back to life. For us, that’s what makes having a wedding photographer truly meaningful.
During the event itself, Phil was almost invisible, as other reviews have mentioned. He didn’t constantly direct us or interrupt what was happening. Instead, he moved around quietly, found the right angles and captured the moments as they naturally happened. We barely noticed he was there, but somehow he was always in the right place at the right time.
Another thing worth mentioning is that Phil has a strong and distinctive style when it comes to colour grading. We personally really love his style, and it was one of the things that attracted us to his work in the first place. So if you like his portfolio and his colour tones, you’ll probably love the final photos too.
Overall, we’re really happy that we chose Phil to capture our wedding. Professional, easy to work with, adaptable, and most importantly, someone who knows how to capture the emotions and atmosphere of the day. We’d happily recommend him to other couples looking for natural, emotional and beautifully styled wedding photography. -

Phil has this rare ability to capture those human moments of beauty, joy, love, intimacy, tenderness and wild delight. He managed, with ninja like dexterity, to capture all those meaningful moments that we most want to treasure. He is an artist, a delightful human being and a complete professional. As the proud father of the bride, I wasn't involved in the pre-wedding discussions, so this review is based solely on my experience of Phil on the big day and the resulting images.
It is said a picture paints a thousand words, and if that is true, Phil's pictures paint all three books of The Lord (and Lady) of the (Wedding) Rings with ease. We've only seen the highlight gallery so far, but what a story we have to treasure.
I'm a sucker for candid wedding photography where the smiles, laughter, and tears of joy are genuine and relaxed. Phil has captured all of this and so much more, and the constant theme of love permeates through every image.
Although Phil was discreet on the day, he didn't miss a thing, and his presence will be felt every time we look at the photos. Thanks Phil. -

Phil was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. He was incredibly responsive and took the time to have calls with us beforehand to properly understand our wishes, priorities and timeline in detail. That preparation made such a difference and gave us complete confidence going into the day.
And the photos are amazing! We just got our highlight gallery and Phil captured the emotion and atmosphere of the day so naturally, including all the little moments we would otherwise have missed. What impressed us most was how well he understood what was important to us without us even having to explain it. He naturally captured lots of photos of my family, especially my little nephew, which are some of my favourite photos from the day.
Despite capturing an incredible variety of photos from so many different angles, Phil was almost invisible on the day. We never felt like we were being posed or pulled away from our guests. We barely needed to spend any time doing formal portraits because his photos captured us genuinely enjoying the day together.
The gallery of photos feels like us - candid, emotional, fun and completely natural. I would highly recommend Phil to anyone.

Wedding Day
We honestly couldn’t recommend Phil enough! He was absolutely amazing from start to finish and played such an important part in capturing our special day.
Phil was punctual, friendly, professional and incredibly helpful throughout the whole day. He was always happy to assist with whatever we asked, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. He even went above and beyond by helping to make sure my wedding dress was sitting correctly for the photographs such a small detail, but it really showed how much care and attention he put into everything.
The value for money was honestly fantastic and was worth every penny. We now have so many beautiful memories captured with our family and loved ones, and the photos have come out absolutely spectacularly. Looking through them has allowed us to relive so many special moments from our wedding day.
Phil, I genuinely can’t thank you enough for the memories you’ve captured for us. We will treasure these photographs for years to come, and we’re so grateful for all your hard work.
I would 100% recommend Phil to anyone looking for someone to capture their special day. You won’t be disappointed!

When all you have after is the photos and the memories it is so important to pick someone that you can rely on to capture your special day.
From the moment Phil arrived they got straight to work making sure to guide us through the day with intimate portraits and then honestly somehow becoming invisible to capture some of the most organic and heartwarming candid photos of us and our loved ones.
