Russell did our wedding photography recently, and we could not be happier with the results! He's such a great guy, easy to chat to and share ideas with, but also knows when to take charge and tell you what to do. He's very inclusive of everyone, got chatting to a lot of our wedding guests, but was also never in the way or intrusive. This is the second time Russell has worked with our family, he did my sister's wedding 11 years ago, and he didn't disappoint on either event. I would recommend him to anyone who's willing to listen to me!Russell Lewis Photography's reply:

We chose Russell to photograph our 25th wedding anniversary celebration and couldn’t be happier with the results.
Having been wedding and portrait photographers ourselves, we knew exactly what we didn’t want — a day dominated by posing and a checklist of standard wedding shots. We wanted the photography to be natural, unobtrusive and completely free-flowing, allowing us to simply enjoy the day.
Russell understood that perfectly.
He captured not just the big moments, but the emotion, humour and little interactions happening around us — some joyous, some deeply moving. There are photographs that gave us a completely different perspective on our own celebration and moments we simply wouldn’t have known happened without him.
Russell was an absolute pleasure to have with us, and the final photographs exceeded our expectations. If you value natural, documentary-style photography that genuinely tells the story of a day rather than simply recording what people looked like, we can’t recommend him highly enough.

It was also a bit of a challenge knowing I had two photographers in front of the camera, so I’m particularly pleased you were happy with the photographs! It was a real joy to have such an open brief and, in particular, the freedom to concentrate on black and white imagery which was incredibly liberating.

From start to finish Russell was amazing! He was friendly, personable but professional, he knew exactly what would make a beautiful photograph. Russell was patient with our autistic son and understanding of the little ones who needed to nap (just in time for photographs!) Our wedding photos came back within 2 weeks, we've been so impressed with the quality of his work. We can't thank Russell enough. We gave him very minimal direction, with the only request being a great photo of us with our children, and he delivered not only that, but also fantastic shots of our friends and family.
It was wonderful looking through the photos afterwards and feeling that he had truly captured our day perfectly. Every image brought back special memories and emotions from the day.
Russell was an absolute dream to work with. He was professional throughout, but also understood our sense of humour and was happy to have a laugh with us. He never put any pressure on us to pose for lots of photos, which made the whole experience feel natural and relaxed.
Some of the best shots were moments we didn't even realise he was there to capture. He documented so many beautiful, genuine moments that we will cherish for a lifetime.
We would 100% recommend Russell to anyone looking for a wedding photographer. If you're considering booking him, do it, you won't regret it!
