We came across Lewis on the Hitched website and immediately felt he would be a good fit to capture our wedding – and we weren’t wrong. From the first consultation, he was really clear about his photography style and what we could expect from his services; and the final consultation a few weeks prior to the wedding really reassured me that he would capture all of the essential moments.
On the wedding morning, Lewis met me and my bridesmaids at our hotel to capture us getting ready – his energy levels were contagious and really got us in the spirit of celebration. Despite the room being very full with me, six bridesmaids and three stylists, Lewis was able to seamlessly work around everyone to ensure the morning was well documented. He moved across to the venue with us shortly afterwards and continued to catch all the special moments – a first look with my parents, gifts, getting ready. He was also more than happy to capture some of the ‘sillier’ requests from my sister and I.
Lewis stayed with us for the rest of the day, until around 9pm – he somehow managed to be everywhere without us even noticing he was there, but based on the previews, I’m confident he has captured so many special moments. One of our guests even came up to me an extatically exclaimed ‘your photographer is everywhere, it’s great!’. The portrait previews we have seen are absolutely stunning – not only did we get some beautiful photos during and after the ceremony, Lewis was always on the look out for more opportunities for a good photo, and he even spotted a brief moment where the sky looked on fire at sunset, and quickly got us outside for a photo opportunity that I had wished for, but didn’t think I’d get with it being a cloudy day – so massive props to him for that!
I’m so incredibly happy that we found Lewis – his photos capture the emotion in every little moment and every image is the perfect reflection of the love and happiness we felt on the day. I shall treasure these photos forever, and can’t thank him enough for the wonderful job he did documenting our special day.Lewis Bishop Photography's reply:

I can’t imagine my wedding day without Lewis. He was everything I could’ve hoped for from a photographer. Leading up to the day, everything we wanted was discussed in detail. So, on the day itself we could really relax knowing we were on the same page and Lewis had it all covered. We got married at Notley Abbey in Haddenham which has so many beautiful backdrops for photos, and Lewis guided us around them all in a way that felt effortless and easy. No forced posing or smiling. Just authentic and us.
He was there all day capturing all the chaos and everyone I spoke to said he was incredible. So easy to get on with and up for anything. If something funny was happening, Lewis was there making sure he documented it!
Honestly, Lewis was a pleasure to work with and I would be happy to recommend him time and time again to anyone getting married!Lewis Bishop Photography's reply:

Your day at Notley Abbey was an absolute joy to capture, there was so much going on from start to finish, and definitely plenty of chaos for me to photograph 😂 You were both completely yourselves throughout, which made my job very easy.

Lewis was absolutely incredible, from the first phone call over a year ago to the final goodbye on the night (of which we were very sad to see him go!) he was an absolute gentleman and went above and beyond our expectations, including being game with going up in a very high cherry picker for the group pic! We had our wedding in a church and then on a family farm and the photos have captured the fun, the laughs, the heartfelt moments so perfectly. Everything felt so natural and candid and he put at us ease immediately, I can’t recommend him enough!

I absolutely loved being part of your day, from the church right through to all the madness back at the farm 😂 There were so many brilliant moments to capture, and you both made me feel incredibly welcome from start to finish.
I’m also glad the cherry picker got a mention 😂 I’m not sure I’ll ever forget being sent that high up with my cameras, but it was definitely worth it for the shot!

Fun, relaxed, natural, and really cares about what he does
I think I originally found Lewis whilst researching photographers on Hitched.
After we picked our venue, The Betsey Wynne, in Buckingham we knew we needed to secure Lewis as our photographer.
He ticked all our boxes before we even met him.
His photos are amazing and we are so glad we picked him for our big day.
His communication through out was 10/10.

100/10 unbelievable, spectacular photography!
If you want an elite level photographer who will get unbelievable pictures of your special, once in a lifetime day, then honestly don't hesitate to use Lewis. We used Lewis after seeing his work at a wedding fair. Our venue had to change to Chester House Estate, and even though it was then a venue he hadnt used before he had no hesitation. He did a video call with us beforehand, got all the key info and listened to what we wanted. He then turned up early to the venue, did all the prep to find the perfect backdrops for spectacular photos. He sent us the photos and a slideshow within a few days and I was honestly beyond blown away! His craftmenship was outstanding, the quality of work was on another level! He captured so photos even beyond our wildest imaginations, always had helpful hints and tips but always always let you lead the way if you wanted.
On top of this, he is such a top top nice bloke. It felt like having a mate at my wedding with Lewis there, he made it a pleasure, effortless and so natural to take photos on such a big day. So natural and exquisite photography, I would never hesitate to use Lewis and it is worth every penny! Mutiple guests said how nice he was and how he worked his socks off! It was one of the hottest days of the year but he still did such a phenomenal job! Eternally grateful to him for capturing such beautiful moments on our big day! I absolutely loved being part of your day at Chester House Estate. It may have been my first time photographing a wedding there, but what a place, and what a day to experience it for the first time!
It was certainly one of the hottest weddings I’ve photographed 😂 but you, your family and friends made the whole day such a pleasure to capture. There were so many brilliant moments throughout, and I’m so pleased the photographs and slideshow blew you away.
The fact it felt like having a mate there with you honestly means a lot too. That relaxed feeling is exactly what I always aim for, so hearing that makes me incredibly happy.

I can't emphasize enough how glad I am to have booked Lewis for our wedding at Chester House Rushden. He slotted in to the day seamlessly, took so many amazing candid photos (it seems like noone has a bad angle!), and how easy he made the portraits to do. What can we say? He is an absolute superstar. Recommended through our venue (Dodmoor House) and he is not just a consummate professional, he is also the kindest and funniest man we’ve met, we loved his candid/documentary style of photography when planning our wedding and all of our guests haven't stopped raving about how amazing he was throughout the day, even with the children!!
