Josh was fantastic at our wedding. He captured our special day absolutely beautifully. He managed to get some lovely candid shots of our guests, some beautiful pictures of the venue with it all set up and untouched. Josh made us feel at ease straight away when we first met him. He is friendly and well mannered. He also made my wife who is usually shy to the camera feel very comfortable. I can’t thank Josh enough! We have some incredible memories captured with gorgeous, gorgeous, timeless photos. Highly recommend.

Joshua was an absolutely wonderful photographer. He captured all of the beautiful emotions and moments that were so personal to our wedding. We were so happy with the photos he gave us and looking through the gallery helped us relive our day, including the parts we hadn't seen. His photos felt so natural, not forced at all, but they were great quality and felt full of real emotion. He was so professional in his approach - we barely noticed him there on the day as he blended into the background brilliantly. When we did our couples shots, he made us feel so comfortable (even as people who typically get awkward during photographs). His communication was great and he kept us up to date with everything that we needed to know. We cannot recommend Joshua enough! -

Wow, wow, wow! I can’t thank you, Joshua, enough for our wedding photographs—they are absolutely incredible.
Joshua captured the mood of our wedding perfectly—laid back, warm, happy, and full of love. He melted into the background, and I hardly noticed him during the ceremony. He was able to capture all those priceless moments without ever being intrusive. I felt truly at ease, and so did my husband—who is much more camera-shy than I am.
I’m especially amazed at how Joshua worked with the light inside the small 12th-century church. It’s such a dark, tricky space, yet the photographs feel so soft, light, and warm. The tones he achieved are everything I had hoped for—there’s this almost nostalgic quality to them that makes the images feel timeless. Pure magic.
Some of my favourite shots are of my father and me walking toward the church. Those photos in particular feel as though they could have been taken in any era, which makes them incredibly special. I know they’ll be treasured in my family for generations to come.
Joshua managed to capture the seriousness of the event but also the joy and happiness that filled the day afterwards, with fun staged images complemented by candid shots of ourselves and our guests. He took on board some suggestions I had for certain images, while also using his professional knowledge to ensure we had the perfect shots—kindly giving us small directional tweaks, something that only comes with real experience.
We chose to book Joshua just for the ceremony and a couple of hours of the reception, as our wedding had a very small guest list, and yet I now have so many superb photographs to choose from!
Joshua arrived promptly at the church, smartly dressed with a cracking smile, ready for the event. He spoke to the minister and verger about the details of the ceremony and spent time familiarising himself with the venue—showing real dedication and professionalism.
So, to Joshua, thank you again—not only for your incredible skill and artistry, but also for capturing the true feeling of the day. To Tom and me, these are not just photographs; they are our day brought to life, and we feel so lucky to have them.Joshua Haken Photography's reply:

We couldn't recommend Josh enough as a wedding photographer! Josh made us feel super relaxed in front of the camera on the day and made sure all of our photos ran smoothly. We received our sneak peaks just 4 days after our wedding which made us really excited to receive the full album! We received our photos just under 2 weeks after our wedding and the photos couldn't be more pefect, they are exactly what we were looking for and are all amazing quality. Wow where do I start Joshua provided the most amazing professional service… capturing our special day beautifully. He attended the church rehearsal prior to the big day to get the best angles and further our reception. Joshua has a warm & friendly manner which makes having our photos taken to be so much more natural. Amazing candid shots provided and even had some sneak peaks sent 1 day after!! Very efficient and professional!
