Huge thanks to Derek, our incredibly talented photographer for the most amazing wedding photos!
We were first captivated by some of Derek’s shots on Bridebook and then met him in person at a wedding fair. He is not only a tremendous photographer but an absolutely fantastic person who is friendly and charismatic with a great sense of humour and artistic flare. He easily got on with and put everyone at ease and made it look so easy to get great shots of everyone at our wedding. We have had so many compliments on the wonderful photographs of our wedding and on how amazing Derek was throughout the day. -

The consummate gent
I can't recommend Derek McAllister highly enough, it was an absolute pleasure having him alongside me for my wedding - the consummate gent, great fun, and absolutely cracking photographs. He truly helped make the day - and me! - feel special and helped us create some truly lasting memories. Thanks!! -

Could not be happier
Such a wonderful supportive guy! And the photos exceeded anything we could have hoped for. They were put together in such a beautiful way with so much of our own input taken into account, as well as Derek’s naturally good eye for a shot. He adapts very quickly to surroundings, managed to organise group shots efficiently, and added some incredible photo ideas on the day that we would never have thought of. He tailored the photos to our specifics - not something a lot of photographers would do, and even went out to see the location beforehand. He even managed to catch gorgeous photos of my toddler niece despite her being a nightmare on the day! We have recommended him to friends and family as we could not be happier! Thankyou Derek!!! We now have so many treasured moments captured perfectly -

Amazing and Unforgettable
It was an amazing and unforgettable experience having our wedding pictures taken by Derek McAllister. He was very professional and creative with how he did the photoshoot with us. Derek, we can not recommend and thank you enough!
Derek was amazing from day one. His sense of humour, creativity, passion and professionalism were evident from the onset. We perused Derek's work on display at a wedding fayre. Derek didn’t push his services onto us, instead he let his work shine through and speak for itself. He was, however, on hand with the answers to any questions we had.
We decided there and then that we wanted Derek to capture both the candid and poised moments of our a special day- to which he did.
Our pre wedding shoot was so much fun. Derek made us feel comfortable, at ease and almost celebrity-like. We were jumping off and hiding behind walls, laying in grass, lounging on benches and attempting lifts which we had only ever seen on films. All of which and more, captured both of our personalities, key aspects of our relationship and were also so much fun to do.
Our wedding day was so magical. Derek arrived just after breakfast to capture the initial moments of the bride and the brides party getting ready. Derek was a huge hit with the whole bridal party and guests. I think the bridal party will genuinely never forget the relaxed, fun banter during the morning. He totally blended in and so dignified with his work.
At various moments throughout the day, Derek took charge, using his powerful voice to move people along or into place in an orderly but relaxed fashion.. all whilst taking the most beautiful photographs.
Derek is so efficient and his work really is an art form. He made sure that we didn’t take too much time away from the guests on the day but also enabled us to have special moments together. Each image highlighted a key moment of the day and some even fill in the blanks that were missed. The hardest part is choosing the photos for the album.
Derek, we can not recommend and thank you enough! -

Highly recommend to anybody looking for a photographer
Derek is a fantastic photographer who captured our wedding day so perfectly. He made us feel relaxed and at ease despite us both not being naturals in front of a camera. Derek is reliable, communicates well and it was really a pleasure having him as part of our special day, he really went above and beyond and his passion for his work is outstanding. Highly recommend to anybody looking for a photographer - thank you Derek! -

Incredible Photographer
Derek is incredible. From our first meeting we knew he was the photographer for us. It's not just the excellent quality of the photos but his whole attitude, customer service and how he engaged with everyone on the day. He didn't feel like a strange man taking photos of us from a corner. More a guest who was really trying to help capture the magic of the day. Every single one of our guests has come to us saying how impressed they where with him.

An absolute Star
The moment we met derek at the wedding fair we knew we wanted him to be there capturing our day. He was easy to talk to and discuss our wedding plans with and also had some great suggestion’s.
We would highly recommend derek to any couples who are looking for a talented, friendly, fun and loud photographer full of personality!.
Derek was a star on the day and helped us all have fun in a slightly stressful time and get some amazing photos.
Derek captured some amazing photos, from natural lighted too backlit night shots and even some smoke ones too.
The photos were really easy to access on his website, for both us and our guests.
Highly recommend -
