We cannot thank Carmen and David enough for the incredible job they did capturing our wedding in York on the 6th August 2026. From start to finish, working with them was an absolute pleasure. Carmen handled the photography superbly, while David captured fantastic video of key moments throughout the day.
They brought such a calm, warm, and professional energy to the entire day, making everyone feel completely at ease in front of the camera. They managed to capture every special moment and candid emotion without ever feeling intrusive—directing group shots efficiently while seamlessly blending into the background during the celebrations.
Their attention to detail, eye for natural lighting (using artificial light only where it complemented the shot), and creativity across every setting were exceptional. We are left with a stunning collection of memories that tell the story of our day perfectly. If you are looking for a talented, reliable, and genuinely lovely team for your wedding, we cannot recommend them highly enough.

Absolutely terrific experience!
Absolutely terrific experience! We are a couple travelling from Shanghai to York for our pre-wedding photoshoot. We were a little worried at first, but the entire experience turned out to be incredible.
Carmen communicated with us in detail about our ideas well in advance. On the shooting day, she was so warm and energetic, and great at capturing natural moments. The whole time was relaxed and enjoyable. She patiently guided us on poses and facial expressions, so we never felt nervous at all.
The photos are full of wonderful atmosphere, capturing countless romantic and genuine moments and we will definitely use these photos at our wedding.
Thoughtful and attentive from start to finish, this has been such a lovely experience. We wholeheartedly recommend Carmen to anyone planning a wedding photoshoot in the UK!Carmen Falkenburg Photography's reply:

Wonderful engagement shoot with Carmen
We had a wonderful photo shoot with Carmen! I had a pre-shoot call with her beforehand to go through what we wanted and what ideas we had. Carmen was very flexible over times and dates which was perfect for us, we got booked in for a few weeks time. On the day of the shoot we were put at ease and had a really lovely time, it was really enjoyable. Carmen made sure she got all the detailed shots and let us know if anything was out of place. We booked Carmen without hesitation after seeing her work and a phonecall to discuss our wants and needs for the day. She arrived early and captured our day beautifully. We have some amazing photographs to treasure for ever! I only wish I had asked for more video content of the day as we didn’t get the speeches captured, but we didn’t request that.Carmen Falkenburg Photography's reply:

Fabulous stress free photos

We asked Carmen for documentary style photos for our wedding. We wanted informal pictures that captured the day without guests or us really being aware. Carmen went above and beyond to achieve this for us. She devoted the day to us and guests felt comfortable with her. We were given a great selection of photographs and it was obvious that Carmen really cared about the results and ensuring that we were pleased with them. We would recommend Carmen to others. -

Wonderful package
Carmen spent all day with us and captured some lovely images. We couldn't have wanted a better record of our special day. One photo got printed in the Hull Daily Mail which we were highly delighted with. -
