Rachael Emily Photography is a wedding and portrait photographer based in Brighton. She is willing to travel anywhere she may need to cover a wedding or other event. Rachael waits quietly for something to happen in front of her, and that is the moment she catches with her lens. She is friendly and professional, open and exacting, and she assures you that not even a single detail will go unnoticed by her creative eye.
Services offered
All photographs are high resolution and come with complete editing. Albums and prints are available for purchase with any favourites that come through the pile. Albums come in regular size, mini size, or a digital album.
The wedding package includes the first consultation in person, over the phone, or skype. All coverage, from a few hours to a few days, is included with the wedding package. A disc with edited high-resolution images and additional albums and prints are included with the wedding package.
How they work
A timeline of the day and posed shots is set in advance with the photographer. Only one event is covered each day. The photographer often covers areas of the UK but is willing to travel wherever needed.
Rachael is a documentary photographer, which prompts her to stand back watching for real moments for her to document. An online gallery is available to view proofs for clients and guests. Rachael works alone but does have a replacement photographer in case something comes up at the last minute.

Post-wedding, communications were excellent and she recommended a number of printers to suit our budget. I think Rachael went way beyond expectations and the service level matched the quality of the work.
Rachael was very accommodating towards our guests when wanted couples shots and was good at spotting unplanned opportunities. She was great with all of the guests, especially great with the children and really knew how to get them all to look their best for a shot. She was also happy to add on some extra time at short notice at a very reasonable price - normally I would expect to pay a lot more for a short notice request.
It's also worth noting that we deliberately wanted a photographer who was from a different area to avoid clichéd wedding photographs. Rachael hasn't been to Hitchin before but very quickly picked up on some cool unplanned ideas.
I can't recommend Rachael enough! From start to finish, Rachael was very professional and we were very happy with the results. One of the underlying principles when organising our wedding was that we wanted to allow all of the creative trades (florist, baker, photographer etc.) freedom and we didn't want to dictate every detail. We put a lot of trust in Rachael and she didn't let us down.
