Rod Lockyer Photography is a photography professional based in Brighton, East Sussex, who offers wedding services. I pride myself in creating images that can be adored for years to come by capturing the spontaneous moments of joy, hugs and kisses that tell the story of your wedding day. From the naturally imperfect to the perfectly planned, all photos are made to be cherished. And as much as I love capturing your day as it unwinds naturally, I'll offer some gentle guidance to any camera-shy couples to ensure you look incredible!

Services Offered

I offer a fully bespoke wedding package with you deciding how long you want me to photograph for, which can cover intimate celebrations to full-blown parties. Plus, if you book 8 hours of coverage, you'll receive a complimentary engagement photo session in Brighton, where I am based! All packages will receive planning and consultation meetings ahead of your day. You'll then receive a small gallery within 48 hours of your wedding, with a full online gallery within 1 month.

What does the wedding package include?

Planning & consultation meetings to decide order of photography for the day. A sliding scale of how long you want me there, with a small image gallery 48hrs from the wedding. Full album within 1 month

How far in advance should I contact you?

Feel free to get in touch even for last minute weddings as I'll be able to give you a quick response on my availability

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

No

Can you travel?

Yes, the UK

What is the charge for travelling?

This is dependant on the wedding location, but travelling charges generally start from £150

What kind of technology do you use?

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?

There are so many amazing, spontaneous emotions which I love to capture throughout. Plus I use my experience as a fashion photographer to make everyone in group & couple images look amazing

What kind of equipment do you use?

2 full frame DSLR's with backup memory cards & multiple different lenses to cover all eventualities

Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?

Yes, a password protected online gallery linked to my website

What's the delivery time for a photographic report?

1 month

Do you send all the photos taken?

No

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

Alone

In case of unforeseen circumstances, do you have a replacement photographer?

Yes

Do you have the rights to publish the wedding photos?

Yes

Do you charge per hour or per event?

Per hour

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?

Yes

How do you charge extra time?

For weddings over 6 hours I charge £180 per extra hour. For weddings between 2-5 hours I charge £200 per hour

What are the forms of payment?

A deposit of £400 is needed to confirm the booking. The remainder is paid by bank transfer following an invoice with the outstanding amount

How do you work?

We'll decide on the order of photos on a call before the wedding. On the day I'll keep things relaxed, capturing the fun moments, while giving some gentle direction in the group & couple images

The perfect photographer!

We can’t thank Rod enough for so perfectly capturing our wedding day. Before the day he was responsive and asked the right questions to ensure he met all our needs. On the day he made us feel so comfortable and knew the best places to get the shots. We had many compliments about how Rod was the perfect photographer, aware of what was going on (and making sure to capture it) without being overbearing or in your face. Fantastic candid photographer

Rod was our wedding photographer this August, and I seriously can't imagine anyone else taking our photos! We wanted a really natural documentary style of photography with limited posed group shots and he understood the brief completely. My partner and I spent an hour in the day taking photos on the streets of Brighton to make sure we got some cool and personal photos for us, and he was amazing and took us to some great spots. Aside from being a fab photographer, he was just a really lovely person and we all really enjoyed chatting to him throughout the day.

Most amazing photos for our wedding!

Rod was everything we could have hoped for in a wedding photographer... and more!

Completely unobtrusive but gave us all the direction we needed to get the most magical photos around the South Laines and on Brighton Beach.

Nothing was too much for him, and incredibly fast turn around with editing etc!

We considered tonnes of different photographers, and we were so so happy with him and all his hard work. A true professional!

The BEST wedding photographer

Rod was amazing throughout!! Excellent communication before and afterwards. All photos were edited and sent over soooo quickly and they are absolutely STUNNING!! Couldn’t have asked for more. Rod managed to capture every single moment perfectly! THE BEST

Wedding photographer

Rod was fantastic and captured amazing photos of our special day. He was great at staging some fab group shots that were relaxed and fun and the same went for the couple shots as we had no clue! During the service, Rod was discreet, however still captured it perfectly. Would highly recommend Rod to anyone!
