I’m Shannan, the photographer behind Photography by Paterson, and I’ve been capturing memories since 2017. I started my journey photographing newborns, but somewhere along the way I completely fell in love with photographing love itself and weddings became the place I knew I belonged.

My photography combines light, airy and timeless imagery with a modern editorial edge. Think beautifully composed portraits worthy of the frame, alongside the completely unscripted moments you’ll treasure forever, the nervous excitement, your dad seeing you in your dress, the look across the aisle, champagne-fuelled laughter and questionable dance moves later in the evening.

I offer full-day and half-day wedding photography, engagement sessions and content creation, giving you the freedom to choose coverage that works for your wedding.
