Mert Angelov is a wedding photographer based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

I didn't start here by accident.

Before weddings, before portraits, before any of this — I was deep in the world of media and esports production, learning how to tell stories through a lens, how to read a room, how to be ready for the moment before it happens. I worked across different cameras, different formats, and different environments. I built a skillset that most people spend years chasing.

But somewhere along the way, something shifted.

I realised that the moments that matter most aren't on a stage or a screen. They're in a look between two people. A father trying to hold it together during a first dance. A child laughing in the background of a photo nobody planned. A moment that lasts three seconds in real life but deserves to last forever.

That's why I picked up a camera for this.

Not because it was the obvious next step. But because I wanted to do something that genuinely makes people's lives richer — something that gives people back a moment they'd otherwise only have in memory.
I started this journey because capturing moments and making them memorable forever felt like the most meaningful thing I could do with everything I'd learned.

That feeling hasn't changed. Every shoot, every edit, every delivered film — it still comes from the same place.
