I’m Mel, a Bristol wedding photographer photographing relaxed, fun and non-traditional weddings across the South West and beyond. My approach is documentary and people-focused, meaning I capture your wedding as it genuinely felt, rather than turning it into one long photoshoot.

Most of my couples tell me they feel awkward in front of the camera or worry about posing. Honestly, that’s completely normal. The best photographs usually happen when you’re busy enjoying yourselves, not thinking about being photographed.

Rather than pulling you away from your day every five minutes, I let things unfold naturally. The big moments, the quiet ones, the chaos, the atmosphere, the people you love all in one place and that’s what matters.

After photographing weddings for over 13 years, I know how to keep things relaxed while still making sure you end up with photographs that feel incredible. I know when to quietly blend in, when to step forward and help, and when to leave a moment completely alone.
