Hello and thanks for taking the time to visit. I'm Meg, and I'm a photographer offering a natural and unobtrusive approach to capturing your Wedding, Event or Family shoot. Weddings and Family get-togethers are my speciality. My style is super relaxed, personal and emotive and I absolutely love nature, colour and the outdoors.

Here at Megan McAdam Photography, I aim to make all of my clients feel really comfortable, relaxed and natural in front of the camera, taking the time to get to know you - helping you and your family get the most out of any occasion. This in turn can create heart-warming and beautiful photographs that tell your story and will last you a lifetime.

To sum myself up, I’m a creative perfectionist that absolutely adores photography. My style is documentary & reportage...in other words, it is important to me that the photographs I take are utterly honest and artistic and my shooting and editorial tones follow a natural, and romantic approach.

My photographic journey started at around the age of 10, when I was given my first digital camera (thanks Dad) and I was captivated immediately. Whilst studying photography I was able to get to grips with the basics and learnt how to develop my own film, which I loved!

At university, I went on to study the History of Film & Design where I learnt a great deal about the progression of photography and found it extremely inspiring.

A short while after graduating from university, my partner and I went travelling. I got to use my camera every day and thrived at the challenge of capturing such beautiful and new landscapes/cities. I was utterly hooked and knew this was the career direction I needed to go in.

​I went on to work at a retouching firm, which got my foot in the door, and I was able to learn new skills whilst having the freedom to "second shoot" for other photographers, which was utterly invaluable. Eventually I became so busy with my own bookings that "Megan McAdam Photography" was able to go full time!

​The best part of my job is that I get to be the storyteller to so many beautiful occasions - everyone you love together all in one room - it doesn't get much better than that!

Getting to know my couples is key and enables me to capture them at their absolute best with the aim to capture all the raw emotions, personality and timeless moments. My goal is to have minimum impact on your day (i.e. stealth mode) and create maximum results for you and your family.

When I'm not photographing wonderful people, I'm usually up at sunrise exploring the world with my camera, walking on the beach & sunning my face (I feel so lucky to live near the sea), nattering whilst sipping a sweet cup of tea, cooing at dashcunds, on Pinterest searching for any recipe containing chocolate spread, making a new list and planning my next adventure with my loved ones.
