The whole process with Mark was 10/10 from start to finish. If you're wanting a photographer who is charismatic, friendly, and willing to try some fun ideas, Mark is your guy! He made the entire party feel at ease, which I thought super important especially when you're not used to having a camera around, and at points we even forgot he was there (meant in the most positive way possible as this made for more natural shots)!
We received our full gallery of photos a lot sooner than we initially expected, and we are completely spoilt for choice with which ones to get printed for our home! Looking back through was such a joyous experience, brought back fantastic memories from the day and even a few tears - Mark truly captured our day so beautifully and we couldn't recommend him highly enough. We got married at Linden House in July 2026 and booked Mark as our wedding photographer. He was absolutely fantastic.
From our first Zoom meeting with Mark we knew we were on to a winner. Mark is a very personable, friendly person who got to know us, our likes and dislikes, and what type of wedding we were planning. He had great suggestions and professional insight on how best to approach the photography on the day. His approach meant the photography didn’t encroach upon things, slow up proceedings, become burdensome to us, or intrusive to our guests.
During our ceremony he was like the invisible man – we hardly noticed he was there. And yet he beautifully captured the ceremony with the most wonderful intimate photographs (we’re still not quite sure how he did it!).
Many of our guests commented on how nice our photographer was. Indeed, throughout the day he captured the most amazing moments. Looking though our wedding album is like reliving the day, such is the skill at which Mark really captured the warmth and feel of the day. Every single photograph we received was highly professional, captured a wonderful moment, and brought back so many happy memories. Truly a cut above other photographers.
Mark was also photographer at two friends’ weddings, and should any more friends be getting married we would not hesitate to recommend Mark to them. Top marks for Mark!Mark Chivers Photography's reply:

Excellent wedding photography - no regrets!
Mark was incredibly professional and approachable. From our initial chat online, to going through the schedule of the day beforehand, to turning up on time and covering all key moments of the day and capturing all guests, and great communication afterwards, we are very happy with our photographer choice for the day. Our family and friends felt very comfortable with Mark there. The photos he took are brilliant and we will treasure them. He captured moments incredibly well (he has a real eye), both from being in the background and in formal group/couple shots. He was very speedy with getting an initial selection of photographs across after the wedding and has been easy to communicate with throughout. As an aside, he also put up with the heat of the summer day without complaint!Mark Chivers Photography's reply:

Having seen Mark's beautiful and romantic portfolio here on Hitched, he was instantly our top choice and we were delighted he was free to photograph our wedding at somewhat short notice. Mark was a pleasure to speak to from the start, as well as highly professional, knowledgeable and reassuring, and we felt in very good hands from our first Zoom call. On the day, Mark was brilliant at getting everyone positioned for the photos, as well as capturing some beautiful moments 'reportage' style (which we really wanted) and we are delighted with the results which really capture the joy and emotion of the day. Micro wedding at Marylebone Town Hall
Mark put us both at ease but was very professional. We were both delighted with the photographs and they were a fabulous reflection of our special day. Both my husband and mother dislike having their photo taken but Mark was able to make them feel less self conscious and got some really lovely shots of them both. The package was great value for money and Mark actually arrived early and finished later than agreed, getting a wonderful selection of photos for us to choose from. We had a perfect wedding day and this was helped and then evidenced by Mark's photography! The photographs were beautiful and really captured the essence of the day from arrival at the registry office, the ceremony and then afterwards at the reception party. Wonderful experience from start to finish
Mark is a fantastic photographer providing so many photos for us to look through after the day itself. He held meetings with us beforehand to plan what we wanted from the day and suggested lots of ideas himself, many of which we hadn't considered and were great.
He managed to capture the essence of the day perfectly and very fast turnaround on getting the photos back to us, would highly recommend and great value.Mark Chivers Photography's reply:

Mark was fantastic from the start. His prices are fair but competitive and he took time to get to know us and the style we were looking for. As someone who hates being in front of the camera as I feel very awkward, Mark was great at getting the balance of taking amazing natural shots and some more formal ones which with his direction weren’t awkward at all! I reached out to Mark in August 2024 in the leadup to my wedding in the following year of June 2025. Firstly, Mark was very responsive in getting back to me after reaching out to him through Hitched. Mark and I initially had a professional meeting just under a year before the wedding, where we sat down to discuss what it was that I was looking for on the day, including the style of photography. As well as this, being new to the process, Mark asked me some great questions around finer practical details on the day itself and advised timings for the photos, based on his past experiences with weddings photography. Mark was very knowledgeable and so I felt I could trust his judgment on how long to time events for on the day for the photos.
Over the months running up to the to the wedding we fine tuned all the details for the day to ensure the day went smoothly and everything I had wanted photo - wise was included to capture the moments we wanted.
Mark was a real pleasure to work with from start to finish. He was professional, courteous, down to earth and friendly. He was always punctual for our meetings and arrived early as planned on the day of the weddings itself.
Mark did a great job with getting our guests ready for the photos. He injected photos with fun and laughter to bring them alive and add character to them, especially with the bridesmaids and groomsmen. He was also patient when it came to larger group photos with took more time. Mark was also flexible with being able to stay longer on the day as the timing of our speeches changed slightly. I was very grateful for Mark being able to do so.
Several months after the wedding, I reached out to Mark again as I wanted a photo album to curate something special that was physically to hand, to capture our favourite memories of the day, for us to look back at and share with our family and friends.
Again, Mark’s attention to detail came into fruition over the couple of months, when we carefully planned the finer details I wanted within the album, including the type of finish of the pages, the layout of the photos and the finishes of the book itself. Mark has high standards and is passionate about his work as he wanted to deliver something special for my husband and I.
We received our album earlier this month. When we sat down to enjoy looking through it, it brought real joy and smiles to our faces taking us back to the amazing day itself, where we had so much fun! We were able to capture amazing memories that we now have for a lifetime.
Thank you, Mark, for all of your time, patience, professionalism, attention to detail and fantastic photography. You have been great to work with.
