Hi, I'm Lo, the Halifax, West Yorkshire-based wedding photographer behind Lo Thompson Photography. Firstly, huge congratulations on your engagement! I aim to make you feel completely at ease from the moment we first chat, right through to delivering your final gallery.
I absolutely love capturing weddings because no two are ever the same. If the thought of being in front of the camera makes you nervous, please don't worry. Most of my couples tell me they're awkward or don't know what to do, and by the end of the day, they're saying how relaxed and easy it all felt! I'll gently guide you when you need it, but I never want your wedding to feel like one long photoshoot.
My style is natural, relaxed and full of real moments. I want you to look back at your photographs in years to come and remember exactly how your wedding felt, not just how it looked.
Whether you're planning a small, intimate celebration or a huge party, I'd love to hear all about your plans and help tell the story of your day.

I specialise in relaxed, natural wedding photography with a documentary feel. Rather than interrupting your day, I capture genuine moments as they unfold, giving gentle direction only when needed

I use professional Canon mirrorless cameras and a range of high-quality Canon lenses, along with professional lighting equipment to ensure beautiful photographs in all lighting conditions
Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?
Yes, couples will be sent a link to their private online gallery where they can view and download images

Lo is brilliant!
We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding photographer than Lo. From the moment she arrived, she made everyone feel completely at ease, which really helped us relax and enjoy our day. She went above and beyond to help wherever she could and made sure she captured every photo we had asked for.

Lois is incredibly talented and I would recommend her for wedding photography to anyone. She is such a calm, professional and easy going person to have around on your wedding morning. The pictures she took are amazing and we will cherish them forever. She got the best shots of me and my husband, the bridal party and all the other little details including my dress, jewellery and the venue decor. The best in the business 🤍

Women of land talents.
Lo was more than just a photographer. She was helpful, polite, caring and assertive, which was exactly what you need when you cannot think for yourself. Every conversation with Lo prior to the wedding was always positive and at no point did she make me feel like I was being too much if i was asking lots of questions or asking to change my list of photos etc. On the day, she arrived in the morning and just got straight to it, she travelled to 3 different venues with us and nothing was too much. Despite being very overwhelmed by the middle of the day, and giving up on my precious list, she still made sure we got the most amazing pictures and was always open and honest about what looked best. I couldn’t thank Lo enough. We had a sneak peak with less than 24 hours and the pictures were absolutely amazing. I couldn’t recommend Lo enough and whilst I will never have another wedding, she will be my first point of contact for any photography needs!!

Fantastic Photographer, An Experience I'll Never Forget
