We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding photographer than John Mason. From start to finish, he was an absolute joy to work with—professional, down-to-earth, and just a genuinely great guy. His unique mix of romantic and comedic photography captured our day in a way that was not only beautiful but also so us.
One of our favorite parts? The stunning western shots out in the field. They were everything we hoped for and more—dreamy, dramatic, and full of personality. John really has a gift for capturing those in-between moments too—the laughter, the glances, the unexpected silliness that made the day so special.
If you’re thinking about booking John, do it. Just be sure to tell him what you’re envisioning—he’ll go out of his way to make it happen. We’re beyond thrilled with our photos and so grateful to have had him as part of our day. -

We met john at a wedding fair at Stoke place and clicked instantly. He was friendly and we got a great vibe from him. He was so chilled and didn’t cause us any stress in the run up to our wedding. He was always available to contact with any questions and made time for us to have a walk round our venue to give us ideas. He was very understanding and listened to our issues with family politics 😂 On the day John kept us at ease and captured so many amazing moments. We love our photos and we absolutely love our album. I can’t stop looking at it. So glad we picked John to capture our perfect day. Thank you. -

We hired John for our wedding at Stoke Place in December 2024 and it was one of the best decisions we made. John’s personality was perfect for us and his sense of humour really made it fun having our photos taken which was great for us as we aren’t usually the type that like to have photos taken. John met with us at the venue a few days before the wedding to run through what we wanted to do and as he knew the venue already, he was able to walk us around the venue and he had some fantastic ideas which we ended up using for photo opportunities on the day.
We have now received our photos and they all came out brilliantly. I enjoyed that he also included some of the sillier moments of the day that we wouldn't necessarily hang on our wall but they serve as a reminder of how fun the day was!

From the get go we knew John was the photographer was the one for us! He had a really easy approach and made us feel very comfortable, neither of us particularly like having our photos taken. He took the time to ensure he knew exactly what we wanted from our photos of the big day but reminded us throughout the day we can pause photos to relax and enjoy time with our guests. It can be quite overwhelming on the day but John made us feel totally at ease and we had so much fun! If you’re looking for some fun and relaxed photos alongside the more formal John is definitely for you! I would recommend him to anyone in need of a professional and easy going photographer. Thank you John for our wonderful photos that will help us cherish and hold our wonderful memories of the most special day of our lives!

Right from the first meeting we knew John was our man, he said don’t hire me if you want formal regimented photos! We loved the thought of original, spontaneous photos with fun at the heart of the day. We are mature couple, believe me being an older bride is extra nerve wracking, but John worked his magic the photos are fantastic. All our friends and family loved being with John he puts everyone at ease and true to his word made our day fun and special. Highly recommend -

We absolutely loved having John with us on our special day. We booked him after our first conversation over the phone as we felt confident he would deliver exactly what we were after, and we weren't disappointed. John knew our venue well and had all the locations for great shots planned ahead to provide us with wonderful lasting memories of our day. He captured our guests enjoying themselves, the beautiful scenery of the venue as well as a variety of shots that clearly show how much fun we and everyone else had. We had a great laugh and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. We also ordered a photo album which John compiled for us and we couldn't be more pleased with the quality and selection of photos included. John is the most amazing photographer, he took our vision for our day and ran with it, making it everything we dreamed of and more. He was fun, chilled and made all of our guests feel comfortable. His professionalism and attention to detail left me feeling free to enjoy my day knowing that he had it all under control.
We opted for the album and a parent album, and they arrived so much better than we had expected, John was really helpful in delivering feedback for the albums and we couldn’t be happier with them.

We booked John for our August wedding after I met him a wedding fayre, I just clicked with him after chatting for a bit. We met a few other photographers but we felt they treated us as just a number. With John, it was so easy to talk to him, it felt like we were mates and could chat about anything.
He put the time and effort in to meeting us at the venue a month before (he hadn’t been there before so it was great for us all) to go though what would happen on the day etc and our photo requests if we had any.
On the day he was an absolute legend, and we had so much fun taking the pictures, we are a jokey couple and felt we had the same sense of humour.
He sent us some sample pics a few days later which are stunning! We can’t wait to see the rest of the pics.
We would recommend John in a heartbeat. -

John was our photographer for our wedding at Tewinbury Farm in Hertfordshire in July 2024.
Firstly, John knows the venue very well which was of great benefit to us - he knew where to take the best shots and make lots of recommendations to us of what he could do. He took the time to meet us a couple of weeks before the wedding at the venue to run through the plan.
The weather was a little dodgy at times during the day, John was really flexible ensuring he got the right shots at the right times. He was very good at helping organise people with good humour and many of our guests remarked how fun it was when they had photos taken.
We received our photos back this week and they are brilliant - there was a lot, and he also provided many in black and white too. He took some great 'action shots' along with the more professional family shots. When we look through the photos in order it really tells a story of our day which is really nice.
I'd have no hesitation recommending John as a wedding photographer for your big day.
