Gemma is the BEST!!! 😍🙌🏼
Typical Hannah & Shane fashion we are always last minute for everything and it has only taken us nearly 8months to write a review… (sorry!!)
Words can’t even express how grateful we are to have had Gemma as our wedding photographer. From the very beginning, Gemma was warm, professional, and deeply passionate about her craft. Genma’s energy made us feel completely at ease, even in front of the camera — which is no small feat!
One of the many unforgettable parts of our experience was the pre-wedding shoot in a sunflower field — and yes, it was pouring with rain! Most would have canceled or rescheduled, but she was all in, embracing the madness with a smile and unstoppable energy. The rain added this wild, magical vibe to the shoot that we never expected. Instead of ruining the day, it made everything even more memorable and authentic. The photos from that session are absolutely breathtaking — golden sunflowers shimmering under raindrops, us laughing and soaked but so happy. She truly knows how to turn any challenge into pure art.
On our big day, Gemma was a calming presence, seamlessly blending into the background while still managing to catch every important moment. The photos? STUNNING. Each shot tells a story — raw emotion, spontaneous laughter and the pure joy of the day. Somehow, Gemma didn’t just take pictures; she captured the feeling of our wedding! As we love to party it was a longgggg day and she stayed for hours to make sure every special moment was perfectly documented. Her dedication to staying for so long to capture every moment is a true testament to her passion and commitment as a wedding photographer.
We’ve looked through our gallery a hundred times and still get emotional. The attention to detail, the perfect lighting, the way our personalities and love are reflected in every frame — it’s honestly beyond what we could have imagined.

I found Gemma completely by chance when I was scrolling through some photos of our wedding venue on google. A particular photo I loved was tagged with her and then I ended up in a rabbit hole of looking at all her wonderful work. Our wedding was all arranged quite quickly and so I didn’t actually think we would be able to have a photographer with only three months notice, and the fact we were only having a very intimate ceremony and no reception, but I emailed her on the off chance she may have availability - and are we pleased she did!
I never met with Gemma prior to the wedding, just a couple of email exchanges to secure her for our big day and a phone call a week or so before to confirm photographs we wanted on the day. But when Gemma walked through the door it was like my best friend had just entered the room. I instantly felt at ease, comfortable and actually relaxed and excited about having my photo taken, and our two little girls took to her straight away, like they’d known her forever.
It honestly felt like she was a guest at our wedding rather than our photographer. She slotted right in to our short but sweet celebration and everyone commented on how lovely she was and how relaxed she made them feel. Not only did she capture all the key moments so beautifully, Gemma was so open and enthusiastic about creating some shots that I had in mind too. One particular photograph was extremely important to us but required a bit of planning ahead for location etc but Gemma absolutely nailed it! We were literally blown away with the result - it was way better than I imagined it would be! We could tell right from the off that she had listened to us and knew exactly what photos we would want.
When we all sat down for dinner after she left, everyone was chatting away saying how wonderful Gemma was and how excited they were to see the images because they just knew they would be amazing. In fact, we all said how we wished she was still there with us because she really did feel like a friend after just a few short hours.
As a couple we’re not really ever happy with photos of us, so our main goal was to have some lovely photos of our children to treasure but when we received our photos back we both couldn’t believe that there were so many wonderful photos of us together and now we’re having a hard job deciding which ones will make the walls!!
But honestly I could probably write many more pages about how wonderful Gemma is and how beautiful her work is. I honestly would hire her every single year to take family photos of us because these ones we will cherish forever. She captured us all so perfectly, all our personalities shone through and more importantly the essence of our day was frozen in time in every photograph. She’s exactly what you want from a wedding photographer - amazing at what she does and had everyone smiling just from her aura, nailing the most perfect shots. There were no forced photos, every single one is just the perfect capture of our intimate day.

The BEST photographer
The biggest thank you to Gemma for being the most amazing photographer we could have asked for. She was so professional and has an amazing eye and attention to detail. She captured everything we wanted and more and we will treasure her photos for the rest of our lives. Amazing wedding photographer
We chose Gemma to be our photographer for our wedding as we loved her really natural and relaxed style. We are absolutely over the moon with our photos, Gemma captured the day so perfectly from the very start of getting ready right through to the dance floor. Gemma is such a lovely person and everyone commented on how nice and friendly she was at the wedding. She made the whole process of having photos taken fun and relaxed, and the rest of the time just blended in with the guests which made some lovely photos to look back on. She also took some beautiful pictures of our little boys running round, and we’ve loved looking back at all the bits that we missed when we were busy elsewhere. The photos came presented in a lovely personalised box with some printed photos, personalised USB stick and even some leftover confetti which is such a nice keepsake. I honestly can’t recommend Gemma enough and we are so grateful and thankful that she was a part of our special day. Thank you so much! X -

Professional, friendly &
We are so glad we chose Gemma to capture our special day. Professional and friendly from the very first time we emailed her. We felt that she genuinely wanted us to have an amazing experience and she did everything she could to make that happen. She was amazing with our little boy and we were thrilled to get so many smiling photos! Lots of our guests also commented on how lovely she was throughout the day and night. Gemma joined us on our wedding day in May where we had a small ceremony in St George’s Hall. We only had four guests so plenty of time for photos. She took some amazing shots on the steps, inside the hall, in the surrounding gardens and even came to the pub with us to continue the shoot. She was a joy to have with us on our special day and we’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer no matter what the occasion.Gemma Collins Photography's reply:

Amazing at what she does!
Gemma was amazing on the day she helped get everyone together for the pictures we’d requested but also blended in the background like she wasn’t there. Gemma’s experience allowed her to capture some amazing pictures of our day using the light and settings around us. The icing on the cake was the presentation on which we received our wedding photographs! These came on a personalise wooden box with a personalised usb and a selection of prints from the day.
