Live Music for Weddings & Concerts in Aberdeenshire castles & churches.
As a former orchestral flautist, I cover the ceremony window: the prelude, processional, the signing of the register, and the recessional.


Performance Options:

1. Solo Flute: I can play in any genre. The flute provides an alternative to violin and is very well suited to the natural resonance of local castles, chapels, churches, cathedrals and historic rooms.


2. I am also very happy to perform with other musicians as a duo or ensemble, pairing the flute with instruments such as the harp, classical guitar, or strings.

3. I can also accompany singers and guests on piano.

What is the length of time of the act?

I tailor my schedule to the wedding. I provide music for the guest arrivals, the processional, signing, recessional, hymns. I am usually present for 2 - 2 1/2 hours

How much time do you need to prepare for an act?

Please enquire at least 6 months before your date in order to secure one of my limited bookings

Created a magical atmosphere

Ruth played flute and piano for our church wedding at Holy Trinity Church. We had classical music and Ruth also played hymns for us. It was magical and the atmosphere was electric. I would recommend her to anyone requiring a classical musician for a wedding ceremony - she was brilliant!

Look no further!

Ruth has a wide repertoire and is both a friendly person and a talented musician who seems to be able to play just about anything! We hired her to play after hearing her perform at the Royal Festival Hall in 2019. She played so beautifully for us - many guests commented on her performance afterwards - her playing was absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend this musician. Jackie

A Wonderful Evening enhanced by Beautiful Classical Music

"To mark the occasion of our 50th wedding anniversary we held a party at the Manor Hotel for 50 guests. It was a wonderful evening and that was in no small part due to the very talented Ruth and Ceri on flute and harp. We received many compliments for the magical atmosphere they created in the grand surroundings. The music could be heard throughout the entire building. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Professional, Friendly & Reliable

Perfect in every way!

Ruth played the piano and sang for our wedding last year and she was absolutely fantastic. She accepted any song requests we had with no problem and she was so professional on the day whilst being really friendly and easy to deal with when we were planning everything. We’d highly recommend Ruth as she was brilliant :)
