Speaker Box is Marcus Lovell — a Bristol-based wedding DJ with nearly twenty years of experience behind the decks. Not a laptop-and-playlist operation. Marcus plays on Technics turntables with a Pioneer DJM-S11 mixer, mixing live throughout the night the way it should sound: tight transitions, real energy, no awkward gaps.

He came up through Bristol's club scene — years as a resident at Dojo's running Hip Hop, Funk and Soul nights, sharing stages with Jazzie B, Craig Charles and Daddy G from Massive Attack. He plays weddings through the Wedding Jam agency alongside DJ Yoda and Graeme Park. That background shapes everything about the way he works at a wedding.

Sound is delivered through an RCF system — NX932-A tops and 15AX subwoofers — the kind of rig you'd find at a quality club night. Lighting is included as standard: Ape Labs uplighters, Chauvet moving heads and Astera Pixel Tubes, all wireless and battery-powered where needed.

Marcus covers Bristol, Bath, Somerset, the Cotswolds and the wider South West. Travel within 50 miles of Bristol is included; beyond that, mileage is charged at 50p per mile, agreed upfront.
