I felt good vibes from Jon right from my initial enquiry. I checked his insta to get a taste of what he is about, and he also sent me some of he recent wedding sets which was really useful.
We met up for some drinks to create our playlist and it was clear to me immediately that Jon has immense passion and energy for what he does. Jon took the time to get to know us and our story, and how the music connects with it. This was one the most enjoyable wedding planing events. At this point I knew for sure we were in good hands.
We chose to take advantage of Jon for the full day, Prior to, Jon liaised well with us and our co-ordinator in regards to logistics to make sure everything ran seemlessly. He had top quality kit to provide mics for the ceremony, speeches and also ambient music throughout the day.
Jon even made a custom mix to transition our first dance from mellow to upbeat to get the party started. This is is when Jon really came into his own. I was not prepared for just how hard he was going to go. Banger after banger, he didn't relent for one minute during his 5 hour set and safe to say us and our guests loved the atmosphere and had the most amazing time. High quality audio and visuals, added to a lively and packed dancefloor all night, and Jon even let me mix a few tracks which was a true highlight in an already momentous day.
I had high expectations of Jon and I'm pleased to say he exceeded all of them.
We are forever grateful.
I need another excuse for a big event just so I can hire Jon again...

Jon is just amazing. He truly exceeded all expectations.
From the very start he was always responsive to questions and we very quickly knew that Jon was the DJ for us.
The service is just brilliant, from the first contact to the wedding day. He has an amazing array of knowledge he's so positive and will work with you to deliver exactly what you want for your day.
Having a face to face meeting really made the whole experience feel so personal and that meeting was enough to tell us we absolutely made the right decision. Jon gave us tips based on his experiences which led to some small changes but made a real difference to the flow of our day.
On the night he was great and exactly what we wanted.

We wanted something unique and Jon built our perfect package with Dom as our DJ! Both went beyond expectations, getting to know us, our likes and dislikes and organised our playlist perfectly suited to us. This helped make our wedding unforgettable! Dom had everyone on the dance floor dancing the whole night, even a few people who “never dance” were up there having a blast! Can’t thank you both enough for giving us the most fantastic night, everyone had such a great time! Wish we could do it all again! Thank you Jon and Dom! -

I don’t know where to begin! Everything was completely seamless when working with Jon. The building of the set list, the first dance ideas, wedding entrance ideas were all second to none. Jon was absolutely perfect throughout the whole process and we would absolutely recommend him for any couple looking for a DJ for their wedding day. He incorporated every request and every idea and was genuinely excited to create our set list with us and play our wedding. We have an eclectic music taste, there’s a bit of everything in there and he somehow managed to capture everything we wanted and more. Best day of our lives and Jon absolutely smashed it. Jon could not have provided a better service, he was incredible. From the initial interviews getting to know us and building us the perfect playlist for us and our guests, to staying in contact throughout the whole process and getting every detail spot on. We could not have asked for anything more and he absolutely smashed it. We had guests telling us all night how awesome he was, he got everyone dancing all night and made it the perfect evening. Could not rate him any higher and would recommend him to anyone, you can't go wrong. -

Booking Jon was fantastic—he truly made our wedding reception perfect. He created a tailored playlist featuring all of our favourite songs, then added his own DJ magic to make everything flow seamlessly throughout the night. He got the vibe exactly right and read the room brilliantly, keeping the dance floor full and the party going all evening.
A few months before the wedding, we had a call with Jon to discuss our music tastes, our must-play songs, and the tracks we definitely didn't want. He was incredibly helpful, offering suggestions that complemented our choices perfectly and helped create the ideal soundtrack for our day.
We couldn't have been happier with the experience and would highly recommend Onset DJs to anyone looking for a professional, talented DJ who knows how to make a celebration unforgettable.
