Best in class service

I could not have been more delighted with my whole engagement with Stephen. The suit was perfect. I don’t think I had one conversation at my wedding without someone complimenting it. But it wasn’t just the final output that was golden, but also the whole process. I had a clear idea of the sort of suit I wanted but Stephen was a true partner throughout the whole process, not shy to push back if he didn’t agree with me. Which is exactly what you want from a tailor. They’re the professionals after all. No doubt this will be the first of many suits together.

One of the finest tailors in the country.

Stephen was fantastic to work with and totally got from the outset the aesthetic I was after.

He never rushed me to make any choices and understood every request. I don’t think I’ve ever had a piece of clothing that has received so many compliments!

Highly recommend Stephen and Ben Lawrence

I have worked with Stephen and Ben Lawrence for about 5 years, he has made a few suits and shirts over the years for me for work, so naturally commissioned Ben Lawrence for my Summer Wedding suit.

With my busy schedule he visited me at home. I didn’t want to feel like I was wearing one of my work suits,
Stephen helped me pick a Fresco fabric that just looked perfect paired with a white Satin shirt that was also made for me and fit perfectly (I purchased a spare just incase). I looked and felt my best on the big day and couldn’t be any more happy with the result.

Cheers Stephen, I’ll see you soon for another addition!

Ben Lawrence saved the day

I originally thought I could walk into a high-street suit shop like Moss Bros and get a well-tailored suit at a reasonable price with good service. My dad and I visited Moss, but we were disappointed by the limited tailored range, the fitting experience, and the pricing – it all felt a bit underwhelming.

I then remembered Ben Lawrence in Old Amersham and gave Stephen a call. He immediately understood what we needed and welcomed us in straight away. The appointment was completely bespoke and uninterrupted, and we were made to feel like we were ordering a brand-new sports car – that’s how tailored and exciting the whole experience was.

I walked away with a huge smile on my face and absolutely delighted with the result.

Perfect suit for a perfect day

From the first meeting it was obvious Stephen knew his business and made me feel very relaxed that the process was in good hands. It was my first time getting a suit tailored and so there was lots of questions and guidance needed, which was provided at each step.

The end result is absolutely the suit I envisaged from the beginning of the process and I wouldn't change anything about it since. Stephen was also really helpful picking out accessories with some great recommendations that really added to the final look.

I would highly recommend anyone to check out Ben Lawrence tailors for anything suit attire they require but especially with a suit for an important day.

Felt like a King!

As a complete novice to suits, this is your man. Knows the dos and the don'ts. Extremely welcoming and friendly with a great team of tailors. definitely wood recommend!

Amazing tailor

My now husband got his wedding suit from Steve, and it looked great! He had such a great experience going to a fitting in the shop in Amersham with his best men; Steve helped to source family tartan for the ties and pocket squares; and was very accommodating in scheduling follow up/final fittings. The suit looked amazing, my husband was really happy with how it fitted and it's comfort- we got married on a warm day but the material was really breathable. Thank you Steve!

Excellent Quality & Service

I used Ben Lawrence to tailor make items for my Wedding and I was not disappointed. Stephen was really helpful and very knowledgeable about fashion and styles and made some excellent recommendations. The result was a very well tailored garments and accessories that I was very pleased with and they fitted like a glove to perfection. As a result I would highly recommended Ben Lawrence for any tailoring needs and you will not be disappointed

Tailor-made experience

I am very glad to have met Stephen at a wedding fair in Stowe. After deliberating whether I needed a new suit, I decided to go for it, and I couldn’t have been happier with the end result. Not only does the suit fit perfectly but the experience itself was actually really enjoyable, and the level of customisation unparalleled. In fact, it was so good I went back to get another jacket for another celebratory wedding event later in the year!

Stephen is a magician

Stephen was able to capture the essence of my husband’s personality in his suit, helping us with styles and colours. I loved his attention to detail and how he made us feel like he had all the time in the world for us. He kept us informed throughout the process and nothing was too much trouble. He was the perfect blend of professional and personable which we welcomed when dealing with so many wedding vendors! A genuine, authentic good human who is exceptionally talented. Thank you!
