Forever Wedding Dance is the specialist wedding dance product of Dance Train Education, with lessons provided by Emma Weir, a full-time professional dance instructor with over 20 years of experience.

Lessons take place in central London studios with the option for home visits subject to availability.

When you book Forever Wedding Dance you know your lesson will be with Emma herself, and not passed on to other instructors. All of the reviews collected are for Emma, so you can be assured that you will receive the same quality of lesson. Also, all private studio lessons are exactly that - you have the studio space to yourselves and won't be sharing with other people.

Emma is a Fellow of the International Dance Teachers’ Association and teaches a range of social dance styles including Ballroom, Latin American, Jive / Rock ‘n’ Roll and Freestyle. She teaches adult education and community outreach dance classes for the Mary Ward Centre in a number of central London locations and freelances for other organisations such as Rambert and Para Dance UK.

Emma’s aim is to make everyone comfortable when learning to dance, whether it be a full choreographed routine or a few basic movements to boost confidence. Lessons are tailored to each couple and you have the flexibility to choose how many lessons you would like rather than being upsold to a set package.

Extremely pleased!

We are so happy we chose Emma to choreograph our first dance for our wedding! She fully understood our brief as we were short on time, wanted a simple yet presentable routine and we only had two lessons to nail it. Her communication was clear and throughout the lessons she gave helpful instructions as she voiced over the videos she captured on our phone so we could look back and practice in our own time before the next lesson. Our guests were blown away by the result and we owe it to Emma for making us look good. It was a big stress taken off our shoulders for the wedding! Thank you so so much!

What you’ll need for your first dance!

We hired Emma to help choreograph our first dance. Emma was super responsive and friendly from the start, and we loved the ballroom choreography she put in place for the song we picked. Emma is very good at breaking down the steps we found a little difficult, she is super patient and also all-round just really efficient at getting us where we wanted to be! We really enjoyed our first dance (both practising for and eventually performing it) and are so happy we picked Emma!

Great lesson and experience

I booked myself and my now wife a lesson with Emma a few months before our wedding. We learned everything we needed to for our first dance which went really well. Emma had arranged a great routine for us even though at the time still had a few possibilities for the first dance song. Emma tailored to our dancing capability and needs and was really responsive to emails and questions. We highly recommend her services!

Just what we were looking for

We’re so happy we used Emma to help us choreograph a first dance that was one of the highlights of the whole day. We asked for 1 session to help us to have an easy routine to do to some live music, and Emma gave us that quickly and with excellent instructions for complete beginners. After this one session (and lots of practice) we were able to surprise our guests with a dance and it brought us so much joy to do something like this together. Thank you Emma!

Highly recommended from a total beginner

I’d had no experience whatsoever before my wedding and was obviously rather nervous because of this, from the first lesson Emma put me at ease, she helped us plan the lessons in a pragmatic and democratic fashion , and showed exceptional patience throughout. I could tell she is very skilled and has certainly had a huge amount of experience. Overall I would say her services were absolutely essential and key part of my wedding prep, really helped me get comfortable with something new, I’d absolutely recommend to anyone

Our dance lessons were the best part of our wedding planning!

We absolutely loved our dance lessons with Emma. It was honestly the best part of our wedding planning because we just had fun, and could take it very much at our own pace! Emma was super patient, kind and communicative, and adapted whenever there was anything we wanted to tweak or add.

On the day itself the guests loved our dance and we had great fun doing it!

Thankful for Emma

We got married in 2023 and had first dance classes with Emma. She made learning the first dance easy and fun. Scheduling was easy and it was a really good experience. 100% recommend her.

Fun, Creative, and Stress-Free

Emma from Forever Wedding Dance was an absolute dream to work with! We were initially nervous about learning a choreographed dance for our wedding, but Emma made the whole process so much fun. She listened patiently to our music preferences and any dance move requests we had, then crafted a routine that perfectly captured us as a couple. Her choreography was creative and manageable, and she was always encouraging and positive throughout the lessons. She was able to make changes on the go if a suggested dance move didn't sit right and the end result was a show-stopping dance that we loved and all our guests were blown away by.

In addition to choreographing our first wedding dance, she also helped me learn my Father/Daughter dance choreography - when my Dad lives in the US! She helped me learn the moves separately and then the week before the wedding she worked with me and my Dad to put all the final touches together so we could also have our special moment.

We can't thank Emma enough for helping us feel confident and comfortable on the dance floor – it was a highlight of our wedding night! We recommend Emma 1000x over.

Wedding Dance

Emma was super friendly and she choreographed an amazing dance, while coaching us and giving us the confidence we needed. She made the whole experience very easy for us, especially considering my now husband had no prior dancing experience! We still do our dance every so often to remind us of our wedding day :)

Wedding dance to fit our personalities

We got a 3 lesson package with Emma to prepare for our first wedding dance. We shared our first dance song choice, our level of dancing ability, and the vibe we wanted to go for. Emma took it from there and choreographed such a fun routine that suited our abilities. With a bit of practice at home, we think we nailed it on the big day! Super easy communication, scheduling and always with our needs/wishes at the core. Highly recommended!

We loved it!

Just had our class with Emma, she was excellent. We weren't sure if we wanted to do much more than the classic sway, but Emma created a simple routine for us that fits really well with our music. She really put us at ease so we enjoyed the class and we were really pleasantly surprised with how much she could teach us. Emma was also v flexible when arranging the class and is also flexible on numbers of lessons etc which is great for those wanting to keep it simple.

Fantastic coaching

Emma W is simply fantastic. Prior to signing up with Emma, we had little confidence that anyone could prepare us onto the dance floor with not so much time we had and virtually no dance experience at all. With Emma's teaching, the outcome was fantastic and we impressed our guests and indeed ourselves too! we enjoyed all the learnings with Emma, she is structured, patient and fun to learn from. Highly recommended and thank you Emma!

100% recommend

Emma is brilliant. We'd prepared a mash-up of two songs and Emma got the 'not-too-serious' vibe we were after completely. Her choreography was pitched at the perfect level for us, and classes were fun, well-paced and challenging, without being remotely overwhelming (for two novices). Emma was transparent about costs (and not wanting to rope us in to more classes that we'd need) from the outset, and responsive and helpful via email. Recommend 100% for your big day. Thanks Emma! Amazing Experience

Emma is fantastic! We chose ‘Kiss me’ by sixpence none the richer and she put together a slick 2 minute routine that made me, a man with two left feet, look like I knew what I was doing. We even included a lift. We did 5 x 1 hour lessons though the last couple were just finishing touches really. She has the patience of a saint, I’m not the easiest to direct so he skills at working with beginners is superb. We did our private lessons in Elephant and Castle which worked great for us.

Overall this was one of my highlights of the wedding planning process. With so many demands on your time. Having that one hour where it’s just you and your partner dancing was a refreshing break. Emma creates such a lovely environment. I would highly recommend.
