Oya and Ed are incredibly experienced dancers who will simplify and make it easy for even the most extreme of a novice (like me!). No previous dance experience required as they will take it right from the beginning with you and work with you at a speed you’re comfortable with. Oya and Ed are fantastic teachers who taught us our first dance. They were very patient and created for us a unique choreography that was adjusted to our personal needs and preferences. They are also very flexible in terms of time slots and very easy to communicate. They explain and show everything very clearly. Our guests were absolutely amazed by our dance. Everything went well as we were so well prepared! Highly recommended. The best first dance teachers in the UK!

We hired Oya and Ed to help us learn to dance/create a choreographed routine for our wedding day. They were so delightful from the start and really passionate about dancing. They're also hilarious and such good fun. My husband and I looked forward to every dance session, even if the idea of the first dance absolutely terrified us!

Oya and Ed constantly checked in with us on how we were feeling about the choreography and made sure we felt comfortable (i.e., no dance moves we felt silly performing in front of our loved ones!). They were also incredibly thorough - they asked about my dress and how I could move in it, whether we were having a live band or playing a recorded version of the song - details we never thought about but it made all the difference on the day.

We received so many compliments on our first dance - everyone loved it. My parents said that it was their second favourite memory of the day (after seeing me dressed as a bride!) - it was all down to Oya and Ed!

Dance lessons turned out to be our favourite part of wedding planning! And that's largely because Ed & Oya are such great teachers, and they keep it fun the whole time you are learning! We are so happy with the routine they put together for us! We were very useless dancers to begin with, but after five lessons, we had an amazing routine which also included and some dips and 2 lifts!! Something I thought I'd be no chance at!

If you want to learn how to dance or learn an amazing routine Captiv8 Dance is the place to do it. They taught us our first wedding dance which was so fun learn with them, lots of humor and laughter during the leassons. The teachers are amazing and made moves that looked impossible so easy to learn. If you dont like a move they will come up with another in a second.

I would highly recommend them for any dance or routine you would like to learn !

We are having private classes for our first dance with Oya and Ed. Despite having no rhythm and both of us having 4 left feet, we can honestly say that after the third class we no longer look like drunk robots and can probably hold our own during a social dance. These two are amazing, their lighthearted approch make it so much fun and easy to learn how to dance.

My partner and I wanted something that could bring together their love of a Brazilian dancing style (forro) with my enthusiastic but low-ability dancing style. Ed and Oya were incredibly patient and thoughtful in their teaching style, and we were thrilled with the routine they created for us. Their advice during the classes was invaluable, and their enthusiasm for the craft was evident in all they did. We felt empowered and confident in our dance and that was in huge part due to the journey we went on with them. We couldn't recommend them more!

Omg, where do we begin?! Oya and Ed worked an absolute miracle! It was 2.5 weeks before our wedding and my (now) husband really wanted us to learn a dance. With all the last minute wedding prep, I thought we'd just be doing a simple shuffle...but several twirls and two lifts later they choreographed an absolutely AMAZING routine! Oya and Ed were so fun & encouraging to work with - they created a dance with several 'woo!' moments but also not too complicated given our countdown and we were beginner/improver level. Thank you both so much from the bottom of our hearts! We loved our first dance - it's the first of many and we can't wait to come to more of your classes again soon! Oya and Ed are honestly the best teachers - better than we could have imagined especially since the dances are so personalized and tailored to our preferences and their professional opinions! We’ve learned two different wedding dances with them - different styles as they tailored it while we were listening to the music together. It’s unique to have someone teach you options on the go and make the choreo based on our abilities as well. They’ve managed to turn my husband into a now confident dancer who was super critical and nervous at the start. The fact that they taught technique first and not focused on just learning steps is what changed it all for him/us.

Trusted both so much that Oya also went out of her way to find me the right teachers in her network that helped me create two group dances and a surprise dance for my husband. Loved the fact that they were honest when they felt someone else could do a better job then they could based on the style I wanted (pop-py, feminine etc.) but still offered to teach me if I was more comfortable with them. Oya also came along to my other teaching lesson when she could to ensure my experience was still good and expectations met.

I’m a huge advocate of theirs - and am actually going back this week with my friends to have a private hen do dance lesson to learn salsa.
