Where do I even begin? Planning a wedding is one thing—planning a destination wedding weekend in Portugal from another country is an entirely different journey. And yet, thanks to the extraordinary Marta Monteiro and her team of Aka Ito Events, our pre wedding Party at Friends Restaurant Bar and our wedding at the stunning Quinta Lago Dos Cisnes in Braga this April was nothing short of a dream come true.

She made the logistics for the day seem so smooth and had everything planned the way we needed allowing us to have the mental space to fully enjoy the day as a married couple.

There was no phone or WhatsApp message too much for her and with every correspondence we were met with love and care. There were moments I truly felt like she could read our minds—she just got us, and that made all the difference.

Even the vendors we brought from the UK commented on how exceptional she was—her thoroughness, clarity, and professionalism stood out immediately. It's rare to find someone who is so efficient and structured yet so warm and compassionate. Marta has the rare gift of making you feel like you’re her only client, even though she’s juggling countless moving parts behind the scenes. She's truly amazing.
