  They went above and beyond!

  Mark and Katie really marked the occasion at our wedding this August. We found them after the decorators we previously went with went bust, they quickly put our panic to rest, what an upgrade! Consistently they went above and beyond what we asked of them, and the end result on the day was an absolutely beautiful sunset themed wedding!
  
  We had guests, some who we know to have the highest of standards, coming up to us informing us of how much they loved the venue and decor.
  
  Our expectations were not just met, they were exceeded, Mark and Katie’s hard work produced the best day my wife and I have ever had and we will never forget!

  The most beautiful wedding.

  Amazing from start to finish and really broody our wedding vision to life, absolutely beautiful.

  Brought our vision to life!

  Mark and Katie took the time to understand mine and Amelia’s vision and were pivotal in bringing this to life on our wedding day. Whilst we had an overall theme in mind we would never have been able to realise this without Mark and Katie’s support. They were accommodating and flexible when we requested last minute changes to decorations and on the day they even helped set up additional props/bunting which we hadn’t previously asked for their support with. My wife and I would 100% recommend!

  Brilliant family company

  Fantastic people to deal with, arrived on time and really added to our perfect day. Very accommodating to us adding our own decorations and happy to help with our overall set up.
  
  Willing to add as little or as much as needed unlike some companies who stated a minimum cost of £2k regardless of needs. This is not the case with mark the occasion, I’m really crafty so only needed to add a few bits we were doing a lot of it ourselves and Mark the occasion worked perfectly alongside us.
  
  Would very highly recommend this family business!

  Absolutely incredible from start to finish! 🤍

  We honestly cannot recommend Mark the Occasion Hire enough. They were absolutely amazing from the moment we met them at our first consultation right through to our wedding day on 14/08/2026.
  
  Their communication, knowledge, creativity and attention to detail were second to none. I had thousands of questions and ideas, and they handled every single one with patience, enthusiasm and genuine care. They listened to what I wanted, offered brilliant advice when I needed it, and most importantly, the finished decor was exactly how I had imagined it — actually, even better!
  
  They decorated our ceremony room, stayed for the room turnaround and then transformed our reception room too, including all of our signage. Every little detail was beautiful, and seeing everything come together on the day was just incredible. ✨
  
  Sadly, my dad passed away just one day before our wedding, which was an incredibly difficult and emotional time for us. The kindness, understanding and patience Mark the Occasion Hire showed us during this time meant more than we can put into words. They sent such lovely messages, were incredibly considerate, and helped us with some last-minute decor so that we could honour my dad on our wedding day, including creating a beautiful memory table. ❤️
  
  Nothing was ever too much trouble. Not once.
  
  And on top of all of that, they are just genuinely lovely, bubbly and wonderful people. Our consultation meetings were always so upbeat and enjoyable, and I felt completely comfortable sharing all my ideas with them. At times, it honestly felt like we were chatting with friends rather than suppliers — which is such a special thing to find when planning your wedding.
  
  Their showroom in Matlock is also incredible! It is absolutely packed with gorgeous decor and gives you such a brilliant opportunity to see everything in person and visualise exactly how things could look on your wedding day.
  
  If you’re considering wedding decor, BOOK THEM! You will not regret it. Their talent is amazing, their service is exceptional, and their kindness is something we will never forget.

  Amazing people!

  We booked with Mark & Katie a few years back ready for our wedding this year. They are very friendly and put our minds at ease when it came to decorating our venue as planning a wedding is very overwhelming. They listened to what we wanted and have gone above and beyond to ensure we have everything that we need and that it hits our brief! We can’t wait to see the final outcome. I would 100% recommend!   Amazing venue dresser!

  Mark and his partner dressed our wedding venue and they did an amazing job! I’d sent them photos last year of what I wanted the venue to look like and the stage etc and they brought it all to life on the day. The bouquet was just like my inspiration photo. The centrepieces were perfect just like I had imagined. We had an outdoors ceremony and they dressed the outdoors area beautifully. I could not recommend them enough. They were so responsive and attentive. They made a an already beautiful venue look fabulous!

  Mark & Katie were simply brilliant. From meeting them, creating a package that worked with our budget and needs, to setting up and taking down. The items they provided were outstanding and the service second to none. They both even helped set up some of the items I'd done myself. Huge thank you to both for helping create our perfect day x

  We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience. The decor was absolutely stunning and truly brought the whole day together in the most beautiful way. Every detail was thoughtfully done, and it created such a special atmosphere for our wedding.
  
  From start to finish, everything was handled so professionally and seamlessly, which allowed us to relax and enjoy every moment. So many of our guests commented on how incredible everything looked!
  
  Thank you for making our day feel so magical. we’re so grateful for all the care and effort that went into creating something so unforgettable ❤️
