Hello, I’m Alex - and I love a good love story.

I’m a Manchester-based Wedding Celebrant creating ceremonies that feel like you - relaxed, emotional, fun, heartfelt and never copy-and-paste. Below you'll find some recent reviews from some of the amazing couples I've worked with.

I work with couples across the UK (and beyond) to create celebrations packed with personality - whether that means elegant and romantic, chilled and fun, outrageously themed, deeply sentimental… or all four at once.

As a radio presenter, broadcaster and public speaker, words are my thing. I know how to hold a room, tell a story and create moments that genuinely land.

And the best bit? There are no rules (...except yours, of course).

Want your dog involved? Go for it.

Fancy dress? A woodland handfasting in the rain? Absolutely.

I’m especially passionate about creating inclusive ceremonies where everybody feels seen, celebrated and comfortable being fully themselves. As an openly gay celebrant, supporting LGBTQ+ couples and communities is something incredibly close to my heart.

Whether I’m leading a wedding, celebration of life or another milestone moment, my job is simple:

"Alex was everything we had hoped for in a celebrant and more. We were so lucky to get him onboard! We had already had a few initial calls with other celebrants when we found him. I was looking for a videographer so was watching wedding videos only for my fiancé listening in who wasn't even looking at the screen to go "WE NEED THAT GUY". We were based in London so Alex just let us know when he was next in London and came to meet us so we could tell him our story.

He was so warm and just made everything so easy - we had so much fun talking about our journey with him.What came after was a beautifully written script by him, essentially putting to paper the four hour long conversation we had! Despite being our own story that we knew so well, we got emotional reading it, which was a testament how well-written it was. It was the perfect mix of storytelling, ceremonial, but colloquial enough to keep an audience engaged through an eight year story.

In the ceremony, Alex was so eloquent, articulate, humorous and somehow felt like an old friend telling a story he lived through with us. Basically ALL of our guests commented on the excellent job he did - he did wonderfully. The ceremony was the part of the wedding my husband and I were looking forward to the most, and it was everything we dreamed of It's now still our favourite moment from the day. *From the very beginning, Alex was genuinely invested in us as a couple. It never felt like we were just another booking, he really took the time to get to know us, our story, and what mattered most to us. From day one, he made us feel completely at ease, more like we were chatting with a friend we had known for years rather than planning an event.

That connection made such a difference. Alex created a ceremony that felt truly personal and unique, reflecting us in a way we hadn’t quite been able to put into words ourselves. He struck the perfect balance between heartfelt moments and humour, which not only meant there were plenty of happy tears, but also lots of laughter. It felt natural, warm, and completely “us”.

On the day itself, Alex was amazing. He helped calm any nerves we had and guided us through everything so smoothly. Our guests were fully engaged, relaxed, and really felt part of the ceremony, which was so important to us. We had so many people comment afterwards on how brilliant he was and how much they enjoyed it.

He’s also incredibly skilled at speaking to a large crowd, confident, engaging, and completely comfortable, which gave us so much reassurance. And we have to say, he looked the part too, very dapper and stylish, with the dicky bow being a particularly nice touch!
