Love and laughter on a pirate ship!
We couldn't have asked for a better person to help us renew our wedding vows. From the first moment I saw Berni and read her bio, I knew she was the one for us. We wanted to keep it as relaxed and personal as possible and Berni helped us every step of the way. She completely understood what we wanted and her energy and passion was exactly what drew us to her. She created a beautiful ceremony for us and it was exactly what we wanted. If I ever convince my husband to marry me a third time I would definitely ask Berni to be there to seal the deal. If you are looking for someone who brings love, joy and laughter in to your life, then look no further than Berni B!The Alternative Celebrant's reply:

I have worked with Berni on projects before and know she’s a lovely person who’s a breeze to work with. So there was no question when it came to picking our own celebrant. Berni made it an easy process and created a beautiful ceremony which was representative of us as a couple. Guidance where needed, without being too much. We enjoyed working with the Alternative Celebrant when planning our blessings. We had a few meetings in the lead up, mainly all three of us but also individually, to really pick down to the nitty gritty.. Due to geographical logistical issues, they were all carried out by video, which was absolutely fine. Berni was very encouraging and supportive and guided us through planning. She came up with some "alternative" blessing suggestions, which sat well with us. On the day, Berni was a rock amongst the mayhem. We were so appreciative to have her holding it all together for us. She problem solved on the hoof, when things nearly went very awry in the middle of the ceremony (down to the hotel staff and venue décor staff not communicating.) Berni is a quirky and engaging celebrant which matched our style very well, and is worth having in your corner for such a momentous occasion. Personally, I sometimes found her messaging a bit minimal, but that's down to my personal preference. Some people don't find it easy to "chat" by text message and of course, she probably had a million and one things to do beyond planning for our blessing.
I wouldn't have wanted our blessing any other way, bar the bad weather foiling our plan for an outside ceremony, but it was March so not unexpected.

Berni helped plan and conduct our marriage recently and I can only say she did an absolutely outstanding job🙏 It was not uncomplicated as we required a Buddhist based ceremony with some of our attendees attending on line from 5 different countries, but Berni handled this with great expertise.
