The perfect day

From our first online meeting with Dave we knew he was the one. We really felt we clicked. The conversation flowed easily and we both felt at ease immediately. Dave was attentive and interested in us, our lives, and our big day. Dave was wonderful before, during and after our day. I have no doubt at all that, without Dave, our day would have been very different. We felt we were in safe hands and in terms of the ceremony, had nothing to worry about. When we read the script that Dave had written it actually made me cry as it was so touching. We had so many people comment on how wonderful our ceremony was and how much they enjoyed it. If you are considering booking Dave, I would urge you to stop considering and start booking.

Unforgettable and absolutely amazing

Dave was absolutely amazing as both our celebrant and master of ceremonies! He is incredibly talented, genuine, entertaining, and one of the loveliest people you’ll ever meet. Our guests are still talking about how fantastic he was, the day would not have been the same without him. We are especially grateful that he encouraged us to write and share our vows, which made the ceremony so personal and meaningful. There were tears and laughter from the moment it started until the very end.
He transitioned our day into night seamlessly and kept the energy flowing perfectly. The music bingo was an absolute hit, fun, and the perfect way to get everyone involved. He brought laughter, joy, and unforgettable memories from start to finish.
We honestly couldn’t recommend him more highly if you’re lucky enough to have Dave as part of your wedding, you’re in for something truly special!

An amazingly fabulous Celebrant, Singer & Master of Ceremonies!

Dave was such a great guy and made our day perfect! Our guests raved about him - his humour, personality, singing, and his jazzy outfits!
Dave made our ceremony very personalised and interesting, it meant a lot to us to have someone speak about us and our lives together, and Dave did it perfectly. I’d highly recommend him!

Dave is amazing!

Dave was the celebrant at our wedding on 9 August and we cannot recommend him highly enough! His speech during the ceremony was so lovely - touching, warm and funny - he really set the tone for the day. So many of our guests said they loved it and that Dave was amazing! He incorporated all of the special details and memories from our couples questionnaires into his speech, and managed to get a few good laughs in from our guests along the way. We wanted a non-stuffy ceremony that our guests would actually enjoy, and he really delivered. Thank you so much Dave for making our big day even more special!

An Outstanding Celebrant and Toastmaster – Thank You, Dave!

Dave was truly exceptional as both the celebrant and toastmaster for our wedding (Mr & Mrs Williams). From the very start of the ceremony right through to the final moments of the evening, he brought BIG ENERGY, warmth, and calm to every part of the day.

He kept everything flowing beautifully and effortlessly! Guiding guests from the ceremony, to group photos (a mission in itself), to drinks and lawn games, to the wedding breakfast, and into the evening's entertainment, all while making sure everyone felt included and relaxed. With so many moving parts (MCs, DJs, fire breathers, and a live band!), Dave somehow managed to hold it all together effortlessly and with a smile.

His professionalism, attention to detail, and natural presence made such a difference. Dave is truly one of a kind in all the best ways possible!! He brings a unique, fun experience, not just for the Bride and Groom but for all the guests too. The day wouldn’t have been the same without him, and we honestly can’t thank him enough.

If you’re planning a wedding and you want THE BEST, Dave is the person you want. Absolute LEGEND.

A wonderful service created by Dave

When we started looking for a wedding celebrant, we wanted someone who could strike the perfect balance between heartfelt and personal, while also bringing joyful energy to the day. We found Dave Octave on Google and, after watching a few of his videos, it was clear he was exactly what we were looking for.

He arranged an initial meeting with us, and we instantly bonded with him. We didn’t just book him as our celebrant, we asked him to be our MC for the day too. In the lead-up to the wedding, Dave supported us brilliantly, with phone calls and guidance on writing our vows and speeches. He offered thoughtful advice and made the process feel really special.

On the day itself, Dave arrived punctually despite hitting heavy traffic and took charge (in the best possible way) of the entire day. It was incredibly hot, and not easy to deliver a service in a jacket under those conditions, but he did so flawlessly. The ceremony was wonderful, full of warmth and personality, and the energy from everyone was just amazing. Dave was adored by all of our guests, while remaining calm, professional, and exceptionally well-organised throughout.

Every time I turned around to try to sort something out, Dave was already there, handling it for me. He took all the stress out of the day so we could truly relax and enjoy every moment. He’s a wonderful person, exceptionally good at what he does, and we honestly wouldn’t want to run any kind of event without him. We wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again.

Dave Octave ... the legend!

Dave was an absolutely FANTASTIC celebrant. From the get go, we knew he was the celebrant for us because he was so much fun. He really took the time to find out our backgrounds, our story and made the whole ceremony so personal. When we got our first draft through of the script we were just BUZZING as he captured our vibe perfectly. On the day, he again was fantastic and he really got the party going from the get go! All of our guests said how much they enjoyed our ceremony and how amazing Dave was! WE LOVE HIM!

Wow incredible!

We honestly can't thank Dave enough for everything he did for us. After being let down at the last minute, he stepped in and completely saved our wedding.

From the first call, his personality won us over—friendly, calming, and so genuine. He arrived early on the day, found us both separately to check in, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. It didn’t feel like we were just another couple—everything was tailored to us, from the ceremony wording to even his choice of suit, which everyone commented on and loved!

We truly couldn’t have asked for better. If you’re looking for someone who puts heart into what they do, this is your sign. Thank you for making our day so special!

Dave was the best!

Choosing Dave to be our celebrant was one of the best decisions we made for the day. We immediately knew we'd found "the one" when we came across his profile. He is full of life, happiness and love. He made our ceremony so special and so personal - everyone commented on how lovely and FUN it was. We loved having Dave be part of the day and couldn't recommend him highly enough.
