Dave was the celebrant at our wedding and he was incredible! He brought a perfect balance of joy, humour and sincerity to capture the tone of our day. He took the time to get to know us and understand us and that really showed on the day. I'd really recommend Dave as a celebrant! -

Dave brought energy we wanted
Dave was an unexpected surprise that I can only describe as the cherry and the icing on the cake.
My sister is very high energy and fun and Dave brought that to the day in buckets. He took what was a special occasion and turned it into what one of my friends described as “the wedding of the year”.
Dave totally understood my sister and her husband to be. He just seemed to deliver the vibe they wanted and left everyone smiling.Dave Octave Celebrant's reply:

Dave was the perfect celebrant for our wedding day – his energy set the tone from the very first moment and carried right through the day. He struck exactly the right balance of warmth, humour, and heart, and made us feel completely at ease. So many of our guests came up to us afterwards to tell us and are still commenting a month later about how brilliant he was – Dave has a real gift for making a ceremony feel personal and full of life rather than formulaic. We couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant for our wedding day. We cannot recommend Dave Octave highly enough. From our very first conversation, he took the time to get to know us as a couple and created a ceremony that felt completely personal, heartfelt and authentic.
On the day, Dave struck the perfect balance between humour, warmth and emotion. He made everyone feel welcome, kept our guests engaged throughout, and delivered a ceremony that was both meaningful and memorable. So many of our family and friends commented afterwards on how brilliant he was and how much they enjoyed the ceremony.
Dave’s professionalism, organisation and attention to detail gave us complete confidence from start to finish. He made us both feel relaxed and ensured everything flowed seamlessly, allowing us to simply enjoy every moment.

We couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant than the wonderful Dave! He is the definition of a consummate professional. Dave managed our whole day as MC flawlessly - knowing precisely when to take charge and when to let us enjoy the moment. So many of our guests thought he was a close family friend because of how personal and genuine his ceremony was. Warm, loving, and a total joy to be around, Dave made our day absolute magic. Where do we even start with Dave?
If you're looking for a celebrant who's boring, serious, and sticks rigidly to a script, Dave is absolutely not your man. 😂
Dave made everything feel easy for us. Wedding planning can be really stressful, but he turned the ceremony part into one of the most relaxed and enjoyable bits of the whole process.
We were really determined when looking for a celebrant , that we wanted to have fun, laugh and be relaxed when we said our vows.
Dave definitely help us achieve this.
He was organised without being stuffy and detail-oriented without making us feel like we were being interrogated.
He was laid-back, and personable and very easy to communicate with!
We can't begin to explain how perfect our ceremony was.
Dave told our story better than we could have imagined.
He had everyone laughing, as well as tugging on their heart strings.
He gave it the perfect amount of emotional depth while really understanding and showcasing our personalities.
It felt so personal to us as a couple, rather than like a standard wedding template!!
Our guests absolutely loved him as well! We've lost count of the number of people who told us how brilliant he was. Several guests said they wished he could have stayed for the rest of the wedding, and honestly, so do we! (HUGE regret on our part for not hiring him to MC after the ceremony!)
Dave brought humour, personality and most importantly a bit of fabulousness to our day!
Honestly Dave, thank you so much, you helped to make our day unforgettable and so much fun!
Please know my Grandpa has been singing you praises ever since! As he has never been to a non-religious wedding before, he has repeatedly told us that its the best ceremony he has ever attended! - So many of our guests have complimented us on it was such and amazing day, and we know a huge part of why it was so warm and successful, is because you set up the tone of the wedding so perfectly at the start!
We feel you understood what we needed for our day instantly and you absolutely delivered that!
Absolutely fabulous vibes from the first moment we spoke!
If we ever need a celebrant again, we'll be finding any excuse to hire you. 🍾😂❤️
