We were planning our wedding from the U.S., while Ruth was all the way in Suffolk—and she somehow made the whole process feel really easy. From the start, she was super helpful, organised, and gave us great pointers to shape the ceremony in a way that really felt like us. She also spent time to get to know us as a couple where by the time the ceremony came around, she felt like part of our family.
She was also incredibly patient and kept us on track when things got chaotic on our end (which they definitely did). She was flexible, always followed up when we needed a push, and made sure nothing fell through the cracks.
On the day, Ruth brought such a warm and calm energy. She included everything we asked for, including a lovely nod to Amy’s Ethiopian heritage, and so many of our guests commented on how great she was and how great she looked on the day! Her outfit perfectly blended with our wedding party/colors.

We met Ruth at a wedding show, and before this we had no idea a celebrant was even an option. We are so glad we got talking to Ruth that day, as it really made our wedding ceremony something special.
Ruth organised everything from start to finish and thought of lots of little things to include. She made us feel at ease, and everyone commented on how personal and beautiful the whole thing was.
We both felt calm and relaxed, everything was perfect!

Ruth was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Our beautiful day was made even more special with all of Ruths personal touches and attention to detail. She included each guest there and was wonderful with the young ones doing their special tasks. We will be forever grateful to her and will never regret walking into her room at Martels. Hands down the best wedding decision we made
Wow, where to begin?! I need to start by saying Ruth is incredible at her job and if you don’t want to read a very lengthy review, to summarise: you should absolutely book her for your ceremony.
Myself & Zac chose a venue that required quite a lot of planning. We are also both very disorganised and for lack of a better word, lazy. Hiring Ruth is like a 2-in-1 celebrant and wedding planner. Her wealth of knowledge and experience of countless weddings is extremely helpful with all the small details you’re worrying about, like what ushers actually do (I’d never heard of an usher before I got married)!
Her brilliant organisational skills aside, Ruth is just a wonderful human being. Sometimes you meet people who are like a ray of sunshine, and Ruth is one of those people. As soon as we spoke to her, we instantly felt at ease, like we’d known her for years. The script she wrote for us was the perfect mix of personal, funny, wise, and summed us up to a tee. It’s rare to meet someone who is so passionate about their job, but Ruth really does put everything into her work and clearly loves what she does.
I could go on and on about how amazing she is, but genuinely, booking Ruth was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding and she will always hold a place in our hearts. Thank you, Ruth.
I must also add, Ruth was also incredibly kind and patient when we were over an hour late to the venue for our initial meeting as my now husband directed us to a venue the other side of the county! -

Wow, wow, wow. Ruth is one of the most nicest people we have ever met. From our very first contact, we absolutely loved Ruth and everything she stood for. We are so happy we decided to go with a celebrant and even happier that it was Ruth. We just clicked so well and felt so natural and comfortable. She made us both feel so welcome and all the help and support she gave us before the day was outstanding. As for the day, it was more than we could have ever dreamed of. All our of guests loved Ruth and she also felt like a guest. Thank you so much again Ruth, we could not be happier with how you conducted our day. You made our day even more special. -

Choosing the celebrant to conduct our wedding was probably the biggest planning decision we had to make. We spoke to three different celebrants, but when we spoke to Ruth we knew instantly she was 'our person'. She was incredibly friendly and made us both feel very comfortable. Ruth took the time to schedule meetings, making sure she could understand exactly what we wanted and to get to know us so that our ceremony was personal to us. This even included a venue visit which made us both feel reassured and more confident for the day. She sent through questionnaires to us both separately, which was great fun, and she completely capture the essence of our relationship. So much so that we decided it wasn't necessary to write our own personal vows. We could relax and let Ruth tell our story and she did so with the perfect amount of emotion and laughter throughout. Ruth was reassuring and calming on the day and settled our pre ceremony nerves. I would highly recommend having a celebrant-led wedding and choosing Ruth to conduct it to any couple getting married. She made our day so so perfect. Our guests absolutely loved her too, it was lovely to have so many compliments on our ceremony. Thank you so much Ruth! -
