Ian Roberts is an ICPC‑trained professional celebrant with an NOCN Level 3 certificate in Civil Celebrancy in the UK.
He is the celebrant at Amamus Ceremonies, where every ceremony is crafted with care, creativity and genuine heart. Ian believes your wedding should be as unique as you are. “What matters most to me is making your ceremony personal, authentic and unforgettable.”
Amamus means “we love” — and love is at the centre of everything Ian creates. He designs and delivers bespoke wedding ceremonies and vow renewals across South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire, with other locations available on request.
Every couple’s story is different, and Ian’s role is to bring yours to life. He’ll begin with an in‑depth conversation about your vision, guiding you through ideas and asking thoughtful questions to uncover what truly matters to you — even the things you may not have considered yet.
As your day approaches, Ian will work closely with you to refine every detail. He’ll take time to get to know you both: how you met, the moments that shaped your relationship, and the hopes you share for the future. From these insights, he’ll craft a ceremony that feels heartfelt, meaningful and unmistakably yours.

About Me – Ian Roberts, Professional Celebrant
Hello, I’m Ian Roberts, and I believe every ceremony should feel personal, meaningful, and truly yours.
I trained with the International College of Professional Celebrants and have attained the Level 3 Certificate in Professional Celebrancy, accredited by the National Open College Network (NOCN).
Before becoming a celebrant, I spent many years in business roles, presenting ideas and building strong connections with people. Combined with over 25 years in community theatre, I’m completely at ease speaking in front of an audience—whether that’s a room full of all your friends and family or a quieter, more intimate gathering.
What matters most to me is making your ceremony authentic and unforgettable. I’ll listen to your story, understand what’s important to you, and craft a ceremony that reflects your values and personality. With me, your special day is in safe, caring hands.
