The Big Fig is a social enterprise. They use their profits to support unemployed and disadvantaged people to gain skills and qualifications to build a future career in catering. They are a part of The Platform, a social enterprise with the aim of creating a thriving social economy in Brighton and Hove and beyond. They achieve this through running their own social businesses, supporting people to achieve their potential through learning and skills, and supporting other social enterprises in the city to set up and grow. This project is part funded by the Big Lottery Fund.
