I was diagnosed with high-level dyslexia six years ago. Reading and writing had always been challenging, but I persevered and built a successful career in management, consistently achieving My goals despite the obstacles.In 2015, I discovered baking as a creative outlet after attending a one-day class. What began as a hobby quickly became a passion. Determined to develop My skills, I attended further classes and traveled across the country to learn from some of the UK’s leading cake designers.By 2017, I made the bold decision to leave My full-time HR role at Royal Mail and pursue My passion professionally. I established her business in Unit R at Staniforth Works, and within just six months, demand was so high that I expanded into the neighbouring Unit P. With the extra space came the first members of My growing team, marking the start of an exciting new chapter.

Abbie is the heart of our shop counter and truly does it all. From keeping the counter stocked with fresh cakes and treats to helping customers pick out their favourites, she makes sure everything runs smoothly day in and day out.As well as being hands-on in the shop, Abbie also supports with admin, making sure all the behind-the-scenes details are taken care of. Her friendly approach, eye for detail, and dedication mean both the team and our customers can always rely on her.
