I tried one of Louise's cake samples at a wedding fair and it was delicious!
Louise has been a pleasure to work with. She's easy to discuss ideas with, friendly, and passionate about what she does. She was great through all the planning. We had a lot of freedom with icing finishes and decoration. We had great fun discussing flavours and trying samples.
The cake visually was stunning.
Our guests loved the cake flavours, the tiramisu being the highlight, and there was plenty to go round.

I had the pleasure of working alongside Louise from Cannon Cakes at a wedding fair, where she was showcasing a selection of her cakes. Wow, wow, wow! They looked absolutely stunning.
I was also lucky enough to taste them, and they were every bit as good as they looked. Each cake was beautifully made, with the texture and flavours spot on.
I highly recommend Louise. If you want a stunning wedding cake, she is your lady! -

Louise’s cakes were absolutely incredible! Not only were they beautiful to look at, but they tasted just as amazing too. Louise is such a lovely lady, full of enthusiasm and passion for what she does, and it really shines through in her creations. You can tell so much love and care goes into every cake. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for cakes that look stunning and taste delicious! -

I booked Louise Cannon Cakes without hesitation after seeing some of her beautiful work on Instagram, and I’m so glad I did!
We initially went to Louise’s house for our cake tasting, which turned out to be a lovely way to spend a weekend morning. We sampled three different flavours and, unsurprisingly, couldn’t choose between them, so decided on a three-tier cake with all three: lemon drizzle, salted caramel and coffee cake.
We talked through the design with Louise and knew we wanted flowers and foliage incorporated into the cake. We took along our wedding invitations so Louise could colour match the flowers to our wedding colours, and she also suggested little extras like the light-up cake separators, which really took the finished design to another level.
Throughout the following months, Louise kept in touch with us to make sure we were still happy with everything and didn’t want to make any changes before she started making the cake. It was lovely knowing everything was being kept track of and that we had the opportunity to make any final adjustments.
On the wedding day, Louise delivered the cake herself between our ceremony and reception and set it up in the room. That personal touch was so lovely, and when we walked in and saw it for the first time, it genuinely brought a tear to my eye. It was absolutely perfect. The colours were exactly right and it looked even better than I had imagined.
The best review of the cake itself is probably that every single bit of it was eaten! All three flavours went down incredibly well with our guests.
We were also able to bring the beautiful sugar flowers home with us, which we’re hoping will last a lifetime as a little keepsake from our wedding day.
Louise was wonderful from the tasting right through to delivery, and created a cake that was not only delicious but completely personal to us. I couldn’t recommend her enough.Louise Cannon Cakes's reply:

I got in touch with Louise through hitched and straight away I had a good feeling about her approach, professionalism and vision for our wedding cake. We wanted something quite different and probably quite a challenging cake to execute. We wanted a cormorant (type of water bird) on top of our cake, based off a taxidermy cormorant we had. Louise was more than happy to do this for us. The whole experience from trying the flavours, discussing the design for the cake down to the logistics has been incredible. Louise is a delight and I highly recommend to anyone wanting a beautiful wedding cake for your special day. Our guests were in awe of the cake Louise made for us. Excellent wedding cake, cupcakes and brownies
We would highly recommend Louise Cannon Cakes. We knew that we didn't want a traditional tiered wedding cake, but didn't know exactly what we wanted. Louise talked us through the options and used her knowledge to help us finalise what would suit our needs. Louise was very communicative throughout the process giving us complete confidence.
When the wedding day arrived, wow, the cake, cupcakes and brownies were amazing. We had so much positive feedback from our guests, not only throughout the night, but for many days after too. Would definitely recommend.Louise Cannon Cakes's reply:

The perfect cake!
Working with Louise was wonderful from start to finish. We met her at a wedding fayre, and she stood out to us by how genuine she was in how she wanted to help us bring our dream cake to life and her skill in sugar flowers which I really wanted on our cake (as well as her amazing tasters!). Throughout the process Louise was gracious and engaged, and it was so fun to bounce ideas to reach the final design in a face to face consultation. For flavours, Louise worked with us to narrow down and provided generous tasters to help us decide on our final 3 flavours, as well as helping us work out which flavour would be best for which tier size. She also created one tier for us that wasn't from her standard flavour list, a sticky ginger, to go alongside her other flavours of lemon drizzle, and white velvet and raspberry which were all delicious, our guests complimenting the flavours, as well as her white chocolate ganache that coated the tiers, which I really liked as it meant the cakes weren't overwhelmed with layers and layers of buttercream.
Communication with Louise was prompt and easy, her prices were upfront and it was easy to discuss options with her to find the right size - for the cake, end to end service and sugar flowers we were happy with the final cost and felt it provided value for money.
We had a fragile topper ornament that she was very mindful of, both in incorporating it into the cake design but also in how it would sit on the top tier as it was quite tall, making sure we factored that in when selecting the cake size. Louise kept us up to date in the run up of the wedding with cake progress, and also proactively shared a handing freezing guide, as she knew we wanted to keep a quarter of each tier for ourselves afterwards. She also worked well with the venue on the day, setting up and giving the venue all the boxes and instructions as well as flavour/allergen cards to display, and as the bride it was nice to have such complete confidence in her that I didn't feel the need to check in to make sure everything was okay.
I would happily recommend Louise to others, and use her again for other cakes.Louise Cannon Cakes's reply:

Susan Sent on 17/06/2025Exceptional Stunning Ivory Wedding Cale
As soon as I chose Louise to make my cake, I was impressed with the contract she produced after our initial char as to what type of cake I was looking for.
She understood perfectly what I had described, and detailed that in the contract, with the price, which I agreed.
We were working long distance from each other, which went very well, via FaceTime calls, and sending samples of the cake to try. I asked for a slight change to taste and texture, this was readily adopted, and the final cake was perfect for our wedding.
I had asked for quite specific Royal Icing , which is hard to find a cake maker prepared to offer this, it was no problem, and she produced a perfect Ivory Royal Iced cake, with beautiful etching to match my wedding dress.
The finished cake, was stunning, everyone attending loved it and the taste was excellent, combination of fruit cake, almond marzipan and royal icing.
As an older bride, marrying for the second time, the cake was Elegant and Timeless and was perfect at our small intimate wedding.
Beautiful. I would recommend Louise as being creative, flexible and easy to work with. I was fortunate enough to meet her on my wedding day, after she had set the cake up.
In addition as an extra, she made some amazing vanilla shortbread royal iced biscuits to match the colour of the bridemaid dresses with etched icing flowers on them, as wedding favours. Again beautiful.
