I bought my bridesmaid dresses from Martels and had a fantastic experience throughout the whole process. Before coming across Martels, I was struggling to find bridesmaid dresses that I felt really stood out and were in the colour that I was after. My bridesmaids live across the UK with different heights and body shapes and I liked the idea of going to a shop together to try on different styles and see what suited each of them. This is where Martels comes into its own. The boutique is so lovely and the range of colours and styles was truly impressive. I loved being able to take a style and then choose the colour and material that I wanted the dresses to be in. Vanessa was very knowledgeable and friendly throughout and did not make us ever feel rushed. She was so helpful and made great suggestions showing how the dresses could be tailored to make my vision come to life. I also do not live close by and Vanessa was incredibly flexible to fit us in at a busy time of year to allow for travel logistics. She made the whole experience so stress-free and smooth and we all had a wonderful time at the boutique.
When the dresses arrived, they were of such high quality and so well made. They looked amazing on my bridesmaids and required only minor alterations. I was so happy with my choice in Martels and had so many comments on the day about how stunning the bridesmaids looked.
I would highly recommend Martels for purchasing bridesmaid dresses and am so glad that we came across them at the Lion Inn wedding fair – thank you for being part of our special day!Martels Bridal Boutique's reply:

We had the most wonderful experience choosing bridesmaid dresses at this boutique. Vanessa was incredibly kind, flexible, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She listened carefully to what we needed, was so professional throughout, and made the whole process feel easy and stress-free.
Thanks to her guidance, all my bridesmaids found dresses they felt truly comfortable in – and they looked absolutely stunning! The quality of the dresses was outstanding, and we couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out.

After visiting multiple other bridal boutiques and leaving all of them feeling deflated I was pretty anti wedding dress shopping. However I visited Martels wedding village for an open day and met Vanessa who instantly made me feel at ease!
I booked an appointment there and then for the following week and couldn’t wait. From the moment I arrived the atmosphere created by the team made me feel so at ease and excited to try on an array of beautiful dresses from multiple incredible designers. Vanessa took the time to sit down with me where we discussed the style of dresses I did and didn’t like, as well as asking if there were any styles I hadn’t yet tried but wanted to.
From the second I described what kind of dress I wanted Vanessa instantly had a dress in mind that ticked all of my boxes. I tried on about 4 other dresses that I’d picked out in a variety of styles from the plethora of options available and each were lovely but just missing that special something. That was when I then tried on Vanessa’s pick and before I’d even stepped out of the fitting room I instantly knew it was the one, a feeling I hadn’t had anywhere else! It was also incredible to see the team at Martels bridal boutique get emotional along with me and my bridal party. It really shows just how much finding the right dress for you means to them!
I really struggle to put into words how amazing of an experience I’ve had at Martels Bridal Boutique. I was never pressured into making a purchase like I was at other dress shops and it was really obvious that all of the team at Martels do what they do because they love it!
Plus it’s an added bonus that all of the dresses, veils and other accessories are so reasonably priced. I can’t wait for my wedding and the moment I get to wear my beautiful dress! -

I booked a dress appointment with Martels Bridal Boutique after visiting one of the Martels wedding shows. Before my appointment, I had a style in mind but struggled to find my perfect dress. I spoke with Vanessa about what I was looking for and she then selected a number of dresses for me to try on.
I was looking for a dress with sleeves and a boat neckline front and back – which I was struggling to find. However, Vanessa suggested I try on a sleeveless, strappy dress and she modified it with an extra piece of clothing to give the idea of a dress with sleeves and a boat neckline. Vanessa’s creative ideas really helped me picture how the dress could look with some modifications. Vanessa and Julie (the amazing seamstress) were both so lovely and patient and I can’t recommend them enough. The before and after photos of the dress are vast and I received so many compliments on the wedding day (and after). Vanessa, Julie and the team really helped bring the vision I had in mind to life.
